One of my local stations has started carrying the Hannity radio show. What scares me is that he is supposedly the number 2 show in the US. What gives?

99 percent of his arguements seem to be based on hypocrisy in past decisions. Instead of championing the good points of his ideas, instead he relies in pointing out the hypocrisy of others' stances.

Every opinionist on radio and TV does this of course, but it seems to be Hannity's only trick. What else is there to him besides pointing out what he thinks is hypocrisy?

No wonder Alan makes a monkey out of him on FNC every night.

Hannity Schmannity

He's just another one. Another talk show host. There are many on both sides of the fence.

I have heard so many on both sides of the fence and they are all full of hyprocisy. As you said they will point out the "obvious" hypocrosies on the other side with great disdain but then turn right around and practice the same kind of hypocrisy.

His demographic is a scary group of ignoramuses

Hannity is the one that had a recent show where his listeners phoned in to describe fantasy cowboy scenarios where you and I would be saved by them breaking out their arsenal when the bad guys try to rob McDonald's. That was acary.

The other thing these "hosts" do is set up a whole fantasy opponent - a conspiracy of leftist behind the scenes operators who are responsible for all moral decay, etc etc etc (or right wing war mongering moralists, etc,etc,etc if you're on another station - one of those liberal types,
