Hamas declares a "victory" in the Gaza Strip

Someday Israel will self destruct. Evil governments always do. Zionist fascism carries the seeds of it's own downfall. It's just a matter of when; not if, it will happen.

And the whole world will rejoice on that wonderful day!!!!

I imagine it's good living in a fantasy world.
Are you also against blacks?
I know you're against Jews and gays. what about blacks?

May your pointless derail die quickly. How about let's stick to the Pal and Israeli theme, and leave the poking of Sunni Man on general principles to other discussions?

Sunni Man, regarding your "The Whole World Will Rejoice when Israel is wiped off the map?"

Really? On what do you base that assertion? I suspect much of the Arab World might, and perhaps portions of Iran, but "The Whole World?"

No. Do you think the Chinese give a crap? That's about 1/6th of the whole world, right there.

@ AUP: Israel's nukes are no deterrent to the style of war the Pals are engaged in.

Well excuse me...:catfight:

This must be some strange new usage of the word.
Nah, Sunnys' dog and his rectum headed friends both got their butts handed to them. Hopefully they'll put another quarter in the game. Too many more defeats like that and Hammass will be blown away. I'll miss those little feces eaters!!

No, when they wipe Israel off the map!!!!
But, if you think that will happen, why haven't you gone over to help them? We might be able to arrange a group ticket purchase to help out on that!! Let us know.:)

I am so waiting for the little tirds to give Israel an excuse to glass them. I will be leading the cheers.

And then what? Hamas cannot be excised like a tumour. It is possible that they could be coerced by force to the point where they "give in", but the amount of force this would take would have other effects, if not the return of a more ferocious Hamas than another force like them.

Israel cannot defeat Hamas because they cannot employ the tactics it will take to eliminate/sideline all of Hamas and even if they did the use of those tactics would probably provoke a furious reaction that would leave Israel back - or further back from where it started.

Since Israel cannot do this they can instead continue with the status quo and conduct operations from time to time that can't get a the root of Hamas, leaving them "contained" and perhaps emboldened by the deaths of colleagues from these operations...

Or they can try a new path altogether...

The story is pretty much same for Hamas its sad to say - both parties seem locked into a status quo of limited violence, which unfortunately makes the chances for a rethinking of things and peace more unlikely.

I've told people that my children when I ever have them will be dealing with this.

I have no hope that this will be settled anytime soon absent some catalyzing force that I cannot really imagine....

I disagree very much.
These are very important accomplishments to the operation so far:

1. Hama lost more than 70 of its terrorists in three days. That's a lot even for a terrorist group who worships death.

Mostly low level cannon fodder. With the palistian birth rate the occasional isreali incursion of that type is not a problem

2. The IDF operation eats at the Hamas' status among the Palestinian civilians. No matter how much the Hamas say on television that the 'people' are supporting them, telephone conversations with the civilians teach otherwise. Only to the media the Palestinians are forced to praise Hamas.

Hamas didn't get their support through being anti isreali. Every palistian group offers that. Support comes from appearing to be less corrupt than the PLO. Isreali incersions probably slightly increase hamas support but not in the long term.

My wife is from Somalia. I'll go ask her if she thinks I am prejudice.

btw I am against Zionists, not Jews in general.

Actually, that doesn't accord with what you have already said.

You have said that you wholeheartedly support Hamas. This is despite their virulently anti-Jewish beliefs being pointed out to you.

You have also said that you support the Palestinians in their struggle against the Zionists and that you believe that to the Palestinians all Israeli Jews are Zionists.

You have also pointed out that the Protocols of the Elders of Zion (which is notoriously anti Jewish) rings true to you.

Look gtc, I support Hamas in their fight for freedom.

What I have said before, is that I doubt the Palestinian people are going to set around and have a philosophical discussion about the difference between Zionists and Jews.
All they know is that Israel, which is populated by Jews, brutalizes them, bulldozes their homes, and kills their relatives.

Again, what is the big deal about the Protocals book?

Although it is said to be a fake. It could be read as a parody. And yes there were some things in the book that sounded plausible.

btw gtc, have you read the book?

A parody of what exactly? This comment suggests that you believe there really was a Jewish plot for wold domination that was able to be parodied in 1903. Please provide evidence of what you consider this book 'could' be a parody of.

And yes there were some things in the book that sounded plausible.

Such as?

btw gtc, have you read the book?

Yes I have. I have a copy of the book by Norman Cohn called 'Warrant for Genocide' second edition 1996 in front of me. It contains a copy of the Protocols. Which is why I have a hard time believing that you find them plausible.

The Protocols are enormously badly written and clearly anti-semitic rather than anti-Zionist. Its use of the word Zion doesn't mean that it is talking about Zionists (who were just getting started at the time) and in fact most of the earlier believers in the books pointed this out.

As I have said before, the Protocols have been used by anti-semites from the very beginning. They have been used by Russians, Nazis, Arabs, Americans and French anti-semites amongst other nationalities to justify genocide against the Jews. This is why they are so dangerous.

The other reason that they are important is that I have never come across someone who found the book to be plausible who wasn't an unthinking (unthinking because it is so clearly false) anti-semite. I want to know if you are merely an unthinking anti-semite or, if not, why you find it plausible.

I 100% believe in the Zionist quest for world domination.

And I also believe totally that ZOG controls America.

And an idiot racist's idiot racist. He shoots he scores a whopping negative 10 mega-human points.

These guys will grasp at any straws --- the IDF is giving its forces a rest after a successful incursion, where they eliminated terrorists wholesale. The IDF Chief of Staff claimed that 90 out of 100 palestinians killed over the past weekend were involved in direct combat.

Yeah, they declare a victory, but will they take the hint and stop firing rockets?

Their objective is to get their cousins in the West, and of course the AP and Reuters and BBC, not to mention the Guardian and NYT, to give the favorable press that will stop any tendency towards peace negotiations, and in that they succeed admirably.

But you know that, but were too polite to say so. Right?

War like that doesn't really go anywhere; it's not intended to change anything.

I will differ with you on your conclusion, though I found your comments a worthy riposte to my post.

The war like that still is the use of armed force for a political end, and the intention is to change something. What is different is the willingness to do it for a sustained period of time, over generations if necessary, in order to achieve an ultimate end.

The "Cold War" was one such, but this simmering stew of slaughter in small amounts is still intended to force a change in the state of play: be it for a small gain, or the larger goal of erasing the hated Jew from "our rightful land."

The effort still has an end, and that end is a change from the status quo.
