Halloween: somebody gets it

But...but...but...
Its the Devil's birthday!

;)

I once saw a woman turn down the placement of a Halloween themed bandana on her dog, after a bath by a groomer. I thought she simply didn't want bandanas on her precious pooch. It was pointed out to me that she liked bandanas, but was opposed to anything Halloween related due to her religious beliefs.

That was my first introduction to the objections of some to Halloween. Color me naive--I had no idea. :o

I had 2 bags of candy with 75 pieces each and I gave a carefully mixed pile of 4 different items to each kid. At the end of the night I had 16 pieces left. Throughout the day Mrs Rock, Mrs Rock's mom, and me, I figure we had 20 bits of candy. The kid in the ninja costume was so excited about being a ninja that I gave him 2 extra pieces because, as I told him, "I don't want a ninja mad at me."

Therefore:

75X2=150

150-16= 134

134-20=114

114-2=112

112/4=28

We had 28 whole kids which was a better turnout than I expected.

Costumes were varied with only 2 kids in plain clothes. My last two kids were a couple of girls who were about 12. They had on knee-high boots and skirts so short that the bottoms of their ass-cheeks were hanging out. One girl had on what I called a "Mickey Mouse corset" because most of the material was around her middle with only two 4 inches circles extending up covering where her breasts would have been had she been older. The other was wearing this parka-like thing with a large open hood. All of the seams were fir-lined and the front was open with a line of bare skin going from her neck to her belly button.

I was hoping that their mothers didn't know they went out like that.

I always thought that poisoned candy was part of the whole Halloween mystique. Yummy candy! But it could kill you! Probably not, but who knows! There are monsters out there!

Don't ever take that away.

I'm more concerned about stale or otherwise inedible candy (dog hair, open packages, ew...)

Schaumburg police are looking for who tampered with candy handed out on Halloween in an area bordered by Weathersfield Way on the north, Wise Road on the south, Braintree Drive on the east and Springinsguth Road on the west.

Sgt. John Nebl said Monday police haven’t received any additional reports since alerting the public Sunday night that two residents received a candy bar with what’s now been identified as a needle or pin inserted through a torn wrapping.

Anyone want to bet this turns out to be a hoax?

For two years, I had my little brother convinced that Reeses were the easiest to poison and he should not take any chances and get rid of them. I love Reeses! The third year he finally asked Mom about it.

Do I win the $1 million?

Police arrested a Schaumburg teenager after discovering he made up Sunday’s candy tampering scare.

The 16-year-old boy is charged as a juvenile with a felony count of disorderly conduct in relation to the Halloween incident. He was released to the custody of his parents and awaits juvenile court proceedings.

Detectives discovered that he inserted a needle into a Snickers bar at his home, and then told his family that he received the candy while trick-or-treating, police said. His father believed him and reported to police that his son received tampered candy.
