It just kicks so much ass, way better than any other holiday! Too bad most other countries don't celebrate it, they're missing out.

The only time of year I can crank up my stereo, blasting “Lux Aeterna” and “Atmospheres” (by composer György Ligeti) from the “2001: A Space Odyssey” soundtrack, actually drawing people to the house instead of driving them away.
I don't get it.

...except the fairly recent, "This is the devil's day!" garbage.
halloween is my time of year. I've yet to miss one, even if I was sickly ill, i still went trick-or-treating. Worn a costume since I was four (which was a Darth Vader costume).
<--- My costume for Halloween.
Dude! That was my first costume too! You know, the one that comes in a box with the vacuum-formed plastic mask and the vinyl coveralls with a picture of the character you're supposed to be portraying on the front!
You know the type I'm talking about...
The next one after that was Boba Fett!
His Requiem kicks butt compared to those two ... for effect, that is.
Or you might wish to try his Lontano for for Orchestra, better than Atmospheres -- more eerie.
Personally, I'd use Midnight Syndicate for my horror mood music.
