had a thought some time ago humans/govts have been controlling earthquakes and so on.. i let it seat for abit, then i found in a readers digest book which was wrote in 1991/92 the image below. I mentioned it to a few peeps and then i got told to youtube HAARP and bang!! look at what was around all this time. Its quite interesting but then quite scary dont ya think? wouldn't it be the ultimate weapon to use?

just makes ya think abit more about all the earthquakes happening lately and the areas they have been happening in. Specially the Haiti one as if i remember right the USA govt had a problem with them people some time ago.

He believes that crop circles are made by aliens and have something to do with 2012,more research needed there.

Here is a nice overview of Haarp, the myths and the reality:
http://skeptoid.com/episodes/4122

Its effects are quite localized and faint and are limited to the ionosphere.
Add conspiracist creativity and undereducated speculation and it's a planetary earthquake machine.

Georgia USA is not known for tectonic activity but portions of my neighborhood sit on a bed of decaying granite. For several years we had an extended drought followed by an overabundance of rain. This has caused sudden collapses of this decaying granite and hence we have mineature earthquakes.

you're so naive.. i spose you like to think that everyone on earth is of a peaceful nature and true to themselves aswell never holding secrets... just as you like to make slight punts at ppl who dont view things the same as you lmao.. wake up not everything is as it seems..

ill say it again 'anything you can imagine we can already do it' ~ Boyd Bushman

Why is it that every time alternative people are challenged, they call you narrow-minded, and when conspiracy theorists are questioned, they call everyone naïve and/or sheep? It's like the defeated supervillain that always has to scream "You won this time, {hero name here}, but I'll be back!" when he's defeated.

Sooo predictable:p.

your not a psychic are you, been able to predict things? :P

Believing what you imagine is true is called delusion.

ahhh comon its abit more technical then believing when you imagine you can drop a fridge from a plane and it lands perfect with cold rums in it.. its like imaging the world is round when everyone thought it was flat and some yrs later it been proven..

It's an interesting idea though, causing earthquakes using water. i was watching ancient discoveries last night and they explained how the Roman Empire used water to mine gold in northern Spain using a system of tunnels that they suddenly flooded.

Apparently the technique was powerful enough to bring down the side of mountains.

Dunno whether this could be adapted to cause earthquakes, but if anybody tried, there sure would be lots of obvious evidence left behind, like large mountain lakes suddenly drained....

That wouldn't be a problem, because some army engineering unit could just step into the LHC and go forward in time to fill the lake back up again and no one would ever know. :duck:

Why do I keep running into people blathering on about "they all thought the world was flat"? How has this delusion not been totally crushed by now?

It's been crushed amongst the educated... Of course, the people who bring it up didn't get that memo, and aren't willing to believe that anything they think might just be wrong.

I could understand if this was some nugget of trivia only really known to hardcore students of history, but I'm pretty sure it's been on Q.I. and that Terry Jones featured it in one of his shows about medieval times. Oh, and you can Google it. That's the one that really annoys me. We're on the internet and people still can't be bothered to put five seconds into making sure they're not talking rubbish.
