Green tea stops cancer drugs working

Seems that the antioxidants in green tea (epigallocatechin gallate and other polyphenols) inhibit the antitumour effects of the agents used to treat multiple myeloma.

We therefore have no doubt that our discovery is highly relevant for clinical considerations and would strongly urge patients undergoing BZM therapy to abstain from consuming green tea products, in particular those widely available, highly concentrated GTEs that are sold in liquid or capsule form.

Another revelation that will not make it into "Natural News", I bet.
Perhaps the talk of anticancer effects from green tea are just talk?

That is a standard warning of those undergoing chemo - to avoid anti-oxidants....certainly not limited to green tea and a number of drugs are impacted by grape fruit juice

You do realize there is an inverse conclusion for those NOT undergoing cancer treatments.

Or perhaps green tea really does have anticancer properties, but it just shouldn't be used at the same time as Bortezemib.
