My roommate just tossed me a copy of the magazine "Blender" (Maxim's music mag) to show me an article about one of the guys from Blink 182 parroting the Loose Change bullhooey. I'll check to see if the article is online. It's what you'd expect though - controlled demo, psy op, what's my age again, etc....

Looks like it's time for Gravy to get off the word processor, pick up a guitar, and start up a pop-punk trio to counter - all in the name of fighting the evil of Avery!

I searched for it on the Blender site and Blink 182's site and forum, but came up empty. If you can come up with the band member's name, I'll send him some reading material. If not, I'll have to practice that chord I know.

It's from the July 06 Blender, page 28. The article is only a few paragraphs long and is oh-so-cleverly entitled "Blink 9/11". I couldn't find it online either. The band member is Tom DeLonge. The article is about Tom's appearance on San Diego radio station 91x.

From Blender...
An impassioned DeLonge raised his own doubts about what really happened that day, adding, "The [World Trade Center] came down in a fashion similar to a contolled demolition... and the expertise that is needed to fly those gigantic planes into that exact location could never have been achieved by someone who just learned how to fly a small pane."

FYI - I play bass.

If you write the lyrics I will make the song rock.

"311, I challenge you to a fight"

-Drunken Scott Stapp just before getting ass beat.

Well gee, if Tom DeLonge says that it was a controlled demolition, it must be true!!!

Apparantly the director of hotel security disagrees with you about the fight between Scott Stapp and 311:

"But Jonathan Jordan, director of security at the hotel, said the incident was captured on security cameras. He said Stapp was "attacked" by several members of 311 and that it took two security guards to break up the fight.

"It was definitely started by 311," Jordan said."

Personally, I get all of my information on controlled demolition from Tom DeLonge. If you can't rely on a crappy "punk" musician for factual truth, who can you?

I'm not surprised, that's expected from a bunch of thirty year olds acting like preadolescents.

Well you know if U2's Bono came out on the CT side, then we would have no chooce other then to throw out all those pesky facts and join the CT bandwagon

I have the distinct impression that Thom Yorke is a CT believer. That would be a shame, I really enjoy his music. :(

I wouldn't stop listening to his music just because he believed in CT. If he started writing songs pushing CT I would.

Remember how we all had to get our information and facts from Rage Against the Machine over the Mumia arguements?

All well and fine, but what I'm wondering is: what does Tom Cruise think about this? Until he comes out with a statement one way or the other, I'm keeping my options open!
