I still remember when a friend in Browne's office told me business had slowed dramatically and they attributed it to your site. So much so that your name had become something of a curse word around the office - I assume they meant "accompanied by cursing," but who knows.
It definitely had an effect. Was the effect lasting? It would seem to have been but as I no longer have friends in the office, I don't know. And Montel also went off the air right around this time, which I would think would have played a part in slowing her down even more.
But I think it's important for skeptics to realize that what happened with Browne is a pretty good indication that this type of web site can have a powerful effect, and hopefully be inspired to create sites of their own.
The way I see it: People go searching for information on Browne, half considering a reading, or maybe just curious after reading one of her books, or a friend has gotten interested, and they stumble on your web site, where they can read page after page of rational, informational, evidence-based articles evaluating Browne's actual abilities. So it's evidence based and there's lots of it.
Granted, the nice thing about Browne was that so much televised material was available (her Montel predictions about missing persons). This might present more of a challenge with other psychics where less actual footage is available to be analyzed, but I believe it could still be done.
But what you did here is brilliant. It definitely had a significant impact, at least according to my friend in the office. Never doubt that.
