China is one of the world leaders now in renewables- both in manufacturing them and using them...

They also make most of the worlds PV production...

Meanwhile while 'some' people and countries are still bathering on about 'it fake', the worlds oceans are rising steadily...

And Antarctic ice coverage has joined the Arctic ice coverage in shrinking rapidly in recent years (over the last two decades)...

Sorry, but you appear to be referencing an American phenomenon. I don't think we ever had Sea Monkey ads. Maybe because local authorities are a bit tougher when handling scammers or maybe they knew kids, unlike you, were too smart to fall for that particular scam.
Sad to read your government may have censored the wildest set of advertisements ever published. I suppose they also "protected" you from other shildhood dangers like making a slingshot out of a forked tree branch and elastic bands then having a war in the woods or jumping into your Radio Flyer and careening down a steep hill before crashing into a tree and spending the next 6 weeks in a cast and crutches.

That's just dumb. Coal is not oil. China is eductor'actively making non hydrocarbon energy it's main source of power. It's cities have been choking on air pollution.
Oh oil...you want to talk about oil! And here I was thinking you meant hydrocarbon fuel sources when you said "hydrocarbon fuel sources". My bad

Da Bop has got the data. China is one of the most advanced countries in the world. It is also by far one of the biggest so it's per capita CO2 production is much lower than countries like the US and Canada.

Yea, so? We went over this a couple of months ago. The per capita emissions claim is worthless as it's China's doing that there population is so high.

I take it you're now accepting that coal is a hydrocarbon fuel source and China has lots of it.

Don't forget, your hero country, along with India, held up COP 26 over language about burning coal.

Do we have a comedy award?

That would win in perpetuity. That is one of the funniest and most idiotic posts I've ever seen, and I read 4Chan.

Read dabop's post then reply. China is actively moving to reduce it's dependence on hydrocarbons in contrast to the US that is actively working to increase the use of hydrocarbons while actively stopping the use of alternatives.

What we could do is all the countries that emit more CO2 per Capita than China commit to lowering their emissions to match China.

China is not only going renewable, it's cheaply producing the means for other countries to go green, too, and fast.
Meanwhile, the US is pushing the use of especially dirty oil (Venezuela and Canada).

Not worthless, but not the main thing we should be focusing on. China isn't.

Lots of coal, very little oil or natural gas. But they still import some coal because it's cheaper. In April they temporarily shut down many coal mines after an accident that killed 82 miners. China knows coal is dirty and dangerous to mine, and the government wants to dramatically reduce its use. But even China can't make that change overnight. It faces the same dilemma the rest of the world does - the economy depends on fossil fuels.

China is building out renewables and nuclear as fast as it can, but still needs fossil fuels to 'bootstrap' into renewable energy. Ironically this means CO2 emissions have been rising even as they increase renewable capacity. However it appears to have peaked this year and may soon start going down. We also shouldn't understate the positive impact they are having on the rest of the world. They are emitting CO2 so we don't have to. A proportion of their emissions really should be allocated to the countries their products are being exported to.

Nobody's a hero here, but some are doing more than others. China's important because it's the World's largest CO2 emitter, but the rest of the World emits more. We all need to pitch in - not to be heroes but to help get the job done.
