Please note how Alfie ignored the information he requested, and I provided.
Willful ignorance, the real fuel of the climate debate...
Talk about wilful ignorance!
I said I either didn't understand or it didn't make sense to me. How is that "ignoring the information" you provided?
Which causes, specifically, do you think explain current global warming better than AWG, and what specific evidence makes you think that?
Don't know. What caused the earths temperatures to changeover the past (say) 20 million years?
So you are tying to argue that if there is even a single ice-cube in water that has been ice free only once in the last 120 000 years it can’t be warming? As usual your strawman arguments do not make a lot of sense. The artic has a clearly documented warming trend and a clearly documented loss of sea ice, end of story.
I am not arguing anything, I have asked an honest question because it does not make sense to my lay mind.
You are stating (as Megaladon is implying) that I am denying what you guys are saying here - that the earth is warming. Not at all. Remember I believe the earth is warming, I do not deny that and never have.
The arctic has a warming trend - agreed.
A documented loss of sea ice - seems right given it is warming.
But how is it the ice has spread? Presumably the areas that now have ice where it wasn't present before have warmed also - so how is it there is ice there?
I also said to drop it as I see it as more of an anomaly in my mind - I dispute nothing on this and simply ask a genuine question, yet you and others act as if I do.
Typical groupthink mentality imho. Attack and stereotype any opposition (even when they agree?)
Amazing!
Well, I guess it's 50/50 then!!
Maybe. That's what I would like to explore on another thread, however no-one seems willing to discuss the possibility.
