Glenn "Crybaby" Beck ... EXPOSED

That's not the point. The point is that he's a real crybaby faking his tears...

... for a photoshoot.

Get over it.

If you found out Meryl Streep or Sean Penn use Vicks to help them in their roles, would you call them crybabies?

So Sean Penn is the sort of standard you compare Glenn Beck too?

I can see where you're coming from, but I think it's pretty insulting to Penn. He's a much better actor, and lacks the ethical bankruptcy of Beck.

No.

What about Meryl Streep? I just used Sean Penn as an example because he's one of my favourite actors I could have picked anyone.

I'm not commenting on any of these people's moral value or intellect, Beck is no doubt a dick, but this is beyond the point. All I'm saying is that it's ridiculous to accuse someone of dishonesty just because he used a technique used by actors for one photoshoot for a magazine.

And Penn hasn't been accused of raping and murdering a girl in 1990.

Look it's a simple fact that Glenn Beck has never proven that he didn't rape and kill a young girl in 1990. Pardy might want to cover up this inconvenient fact, but any viewer of his show would understand this is a strong point of evidence against him.

Why is there a conspiracy to cover up the truth about Glenn Beck? Why is the media banding together to ignore this breaking story?

First of all, can we lay off my non-existing wife please?

Secondly, I'm not excusing Beck of anything, or covering anything up. This thread is about him faking tears for a freaking magazine.

I'm not condoning or supporting Beck for whatever he has or hasn't done.

Idiots. (except Praktik, in your case I know it was a joke)

Pardalis,
Merryl and Sean are actors. While Beck obviously(to me) is one, too, he actually sells himself as a journalist, a journalist with strong opinions and feelings - which are now being questioned as quite possibly faked. Now, don't colour me surprised that TV and the mass media would breed such nonsense, but comparing him to people who make their living via their histrionics for legitimate reasons is quite off.

Well, whatever.... I didn't feel like typing "newsy-person-commentator-guy". But note the little Fox NEWS logo in the lower left hand corner. He's on the news, commenting about news. He's not a professional actor. (Although, I'm sure one could take exception with his point about not being a rodeo clown - I mean if one was all like partisan and stuff, but that wouldn't happen in a Politics thread, of course.)

Because "commentator" alone would somehow not suffice? Or is it really just oh-so-much-harder to type than "journalist"? That one extra letter is a real bitch.

Indeed. And guess what you can find in a NEWSpaper: opinion columns. But nobody would call someone a journalist because they wrote opinion columns, nor would they call such a person a journalist because "newsy-person-columnist-guy" was too hard to type.

Wonderful. You must do real well a dodgeball, also.
Whether I call him a journalist or a rodeo clown or a commentator doesn't change the crocodile tears bit, though, does it?

Have you ever heard the term "self-depricating"? This is a non-story.

Now THAT, I appreciate. I don't have time to read it - I'm off to work, but I'll check it out.
If I understand from a quick glance, he played up to the whole thing and the Vicks thing really does become a non-issue.
Dang! (Not that getting the real story out will help. Partisanship being what it is, you'll be hearing "fake tears" from the left for dog's years.)

Oh well, I guess I can go back to hating him for his positions.

Okay, thanks Ziggurat....

The synopsis is that the photographer and he had a history - an unpleasant one based on a crying meme. He knew exactly who she was and they were working on a shot of him crying, intentionally.

So the partisans on the left (Yeah! My Team! Rah! Rah! Rah!) spin this photographer's use of mentholatum to get the taps flowing, so to speak, into "Beck is a Phony and he uses onions and tear gas to get all verklempt and sucker his viewers"....

Sort of puts the "par" in "partisan". Rather typical of political debate, unfortunately.

Like I said, I'll just go back to hating him for his political stands, and not his theatrics.

Meh. Is anyone surprised by this at all... the fact that Glenn Beck's show is just political theater or the reaction of people to this "news"?

Without having studied this topic too carefully ... Glenn Beck is still a worthless lump of crap, right?

Update me if this ever changes.
