Giving "Organic" a real meaning

Yep it's all about husbanding resources over time and the information is there....all depends on the integrity, knowledge and patience of the farmer.
Cuba HAD to do it.
WE have some technology and societal wealth to back the effort and pay our farmers a fair wage instead of letting the food processing companies rule the roost so to speak...

Because Australian soils are very weak by comparison to other areas this kind of resource management is critical there.

The logic of your anecdotal argument doesn't work, by the way. Doing something for a hundred years says nothing about how sustainable the practice is.

YES! This is why solar energy isn't sustainable: eventually the sun will run out of hydrogen to fuse and will end up going supernova. Solar power cannot be used forever, so it isn't sustainable.

On that note, eventually (possibly before the sun goes supernova, definitely after) the earth will lose enough of its atmosphere that there will not be enough partial pressure of carbon dioxide to continue organic farming in open fields. Clearly, organic farming in open fields is not sustainable.

When you find yourself lacking any interest in making a serious contribution to a discussion, one option you might consider is simply moving on.
