Gingrich Campaign Staff -- We're Outta Here!

Well that's the big question isn't it? Can a candidate get the nomination without appeasing the more extreme elements of the party?
Yes, he can, but it may bite him in the butt. A lot of ultra-right Republicans were mad at McCain for his close-to-the-middle stances. I strongly suspect a lot of them refused to vote rather than to vote for McCain. While the GOP is still powerful locally, they are becoming the creature that eats itself in national elections.

You are demonstrating your rank liberal bias and failure to grasp the sentiments of the American public. It's obvious that Conservatism is far more popular than Liberalism. Don't believe me? Is this the point where you ask for proof...?

Ask Ann Coulter.

Morning coffee? Ann, try morning kool-aid.

When elections are decided by a 2% swing vote, it doesn't take too much to make the swing.

I'm thinking B.O. has lost the shine that got him elected.

Lets' give it a couple months, until some polls of likely voters ask Romney vs B.O, or Gingrich vs B.O.

And, again -- Newt's stunning rise is astounding. He is blessed with a hated presumptive front-runner, and has managed to peak at the just the right moment. This recovery makes McCain's 2008 recovery look puny.

Not a surprise. I recall a study that showed that per capita South Carolina has the most intelligent residents of any state in the nation.

That sounds really likely! I wonder how such things are measured, btw.
