Ghislaine Maxwell

Then surely you understand why "How come they didn't report it?" is not very helpful in considering the likelihood of the accusation.

The Cosby ruling sets a precedent, no? So if someone has been granted indemnity on various historical charges, and then in a later civil case admits to some of the charges and is charged by a different court in another jurisdiction on that basis and on appeal the latter conviction is expunged because of the earlier deal in the earlier court in a different state, then the same legal principles would apply to Epstein, were he still alive, n'est ce pas? And by extension, to those persons also named in his deal..?

No, the deal only exists between the two parties who agreed to it. Otherwise confidential informants could not exist. If Party A decided to flip on Party B, B is not protected by A's deal.

If Epstein made a deal, it would not protect anyone he named. It defeats the entire purpose of the deal.

An adult might choose not to report it. However, the grandmother of the raped little girl thrown on her lawn in the dead of night, covered with wounds and bruises and obviously a sexual assault victim does IMV have a duty of care to that child to at the very least seek medical attention for her even it she has an anti-social attitude towards reporting anything to the police herself.

It seems like a really stupid argument, but I gotta figure Maxwell's lawyers aren't nearly as stupid as Vixen makes them sound. I wonder what their actual argument is.

Maxwell's attorney, Markus explains his reasoning here:

Mr Markus told The Daily Telegraph the British socialite should be freed due to a 2007 plea deal struck with Epstein. That agreement allowed Epstein to avoid prosecution on federal sex-trafficking charges if he pleaded guilty to lesser state crimes, and shielded his alleged co-conspirators from prosecution, the paper said.

“I am hopeful that the Maxwell judge will reconsider her decision in light of the Cosby opinion,” Mr Markus told the Telegraph.

“If not, then there will be a trial and hopefully an appeal won’t be necessary as the case is so weak. But if so, then this will be a primary issue for us.”

What if the grandmother was the perp?

Almost there--you've caught on that a victim might have motivations that you're unaware of. Why wouldn't that apply to someone else?

It may be that she should have--it may be that she's a reprehensible person for not doing so. It does not speak to the likelihood of the event.

So this woman in 1991 aged 16 was gang-raped by a whole group of people, including Ghislaine Maxwell, driven by a gun toting person to be dumped naked on her grandmother's lawn and discovered she was expecting Epstein's baby, which she had to terminate.

So her caring grandmother immediately contacted the police, no? Or at least took her to hospital or doctor to treat her serious injuries as a result of the 'gang rape', yes?

I am not saying it didn't happen but is she seriously expecting to come forward almost thirty years later, without any corroboration of her claim. You will note that Maxwell is not being charged with sexual assault or 'rape', nor false imprisonment, nor threatening someone with a gun.

Ah well, at least she will have the small mercy of Fox News paying for her story.
You don't have the faintest ******* idea of how being sexually assaulted effects someone, do you?
******* pathetic.

Were I to quibble, "affects". But you have a point. Vixen is proposing that rape is no biggie. Indeed victims of rape should either get an immediate abortion or just put up with it as a normalised....WTF?

While you or I or most everyone about here might happily concede that any amount of bonkers consensual relation are fine, there are some who think that only their conception of some mad rules same are the only god given rules. It is mad.

Explain to me how it is that me and hex wife produced two healthy children? While botty jabbing because she liked it.

Intimite relationships just have a whole different set of rules going on. The religious cannot feature that.

Rubbish. I have said nothing at all about abortion. Why don't you read the Fox News article? Those are the words of the narrator, not me!
