"Get Your Flag Decal Off Your Foreign Car!"

.

But my Plymouth Valiant suffered from the same malady, shorting out on the real humid days, until I replaced the cracked distributor cap.

I can sympathize----my first car was a hand-me-down 1962 Dodge Lancer. Pretty much the same wiring as your Valiant. Also a later 1964 Plymouth Savoy. Same thing with the wiring harness. You could tell a Chrysler made car starting a block away with those reduction gear starters. I don't know about today, but in the 60's and 70's Chrysler turned out electrical systems that could easily rival Lucas for quality and performance.

Hahah. Looked at my car door for manufacturing place information (it gives percentages):

100% in Japan (there is a city, but that part has rubbed off on the sticker)

Ohs wells.

but hey, the oil, the window wiper blades, and the car window shade are made in America (if i believe the tags on the products) :D

My first Car: Pontiac Le Mans (aka rebadged Dae Woo - Korea)
Second Car: Honda CRX Si (made in Japan)
