Yes, being called a name hails in comparison to a lot things that happened in his presidency. He had to deal with the worst terrorist attack in recent history 8 months after being elected. His response to Katrina was a massive failure in government. The racist charge was something that hit him personally, and he's more than entitled to that opinion. I don't think that's an apt analogy.

I think that the thread is about an interpretation that Bush said that the worst moment in his presidency wasn't the terrorist attacks, or anything about the wars, but an insult directed at him. That is different from being criticised for having a reaction to an insult.
