It's so frustrating watching these idiots protest vote the stage of the country by voting in literally the very people who got it in to this state and were running things, badly, until two years ago.

So since you only have to serve 2 years to get a pension he managed to join the Marines, pass SBS selection, serve two tours with the Special Boat Service in a country with no coastline and get booted out all within 18 months?

Just met John in Mile End.

John served two dangerous tours in Uganda in the SBS (Special Boat Service) during the 1980s.

He was discharged 6 months before he was eligible to claim a pension due to ‘cuts’ in the MOD and has received no help or recognition for his service since.

Under a Restore Britain government British veterans will receive:

✅ Fast-tracked NHS healthcare + mental health support
✅ Ring-fenced housing priority to end veteran homelessness
✅ Access to a dedicated fund for retraining into civilian roles (esp. police & immigration)

We believe that veterans like John deserve to be taken care of after everything they’ve sacrificed for this country. 🫡 🇬🇧.

Britain did have a small Commonwealth Military Training Team in Uganda in the early 1980s (around 1982–1984). It was not special forces and it was helping with basic military training. The SBS were never there.

Also the name Special Boat Service wasn't used until 1987. Before that it was the Special Boat Squadron.

Loses a point for not claiming he was in the team for Operation Nimrod - yes I know that was SAS not SBS but makes as much sense as the other claims.

The stupid thing is, Clarkson knew exactly how damaging Brxit was going to be, and said so publicly, now he also knows how damaging it has been for farmers. I genuinely don't get why he's, if not explicitly helping the man behind it, certainly easing his way into power. Clarkson seems to have devolved into the character he played on TV over the last few years.
