I sometimes posted about, say, Sweden. No, I've never been to Sweden. But:

(1) I don't devote 80% of my forum posts to attacking Sweden and Swedes despite never having been there, and without speaking a word of Swedish.

(2) I don't declare that all Swedes who disagree with me and actually live there and know the place are all "right-wing propagandists" for daring to think differently about Sweden than I do, or correct the numerous embarrasing factual mistakes I make in my rants about how awful Sweden is...

I'm off to the gym then off to work. In the meantime can someone instruct Parky on how to Google "Hamas Holocaust denial" please.

From the Horses' mouth

This conference bears a clear Zionist goal, aimed at forging history by hiding the truth about the so-called Holocaust, which is an alleged and invented story with no basis. (...) The invention of these grand illusions of an alleged crime that never occurred, ignoring the millions of dead European victims of Nazism during the war, clearly reveals the racist Zionist face, which believes in the superiority of the Jewish race over the rest of the nations. (...) By these methods, the Jews in the world flout scientific methods of research whenever that research contradicts their racist interests.

from the above article:

Later in 2008, Basim Naim, the minister of health in the Hamas-led Palestinian Authority government in Gaza countered holocaust denial, and said "it should be made clear that neither Hamas nor the Palestinian government in Gaza denies the NaziHolocaust. The Holocaust was not only a crime against humanity but one of the most abhorrent crimes in modern history. We condemn it as we condemn every abuse of humanity and all forms of discrimination on the basis of religion, race, gender or nationality."[219]

it appears that Hamas indeed does not speak with one voice on the Holocaust. thank you very much for providing evidence of that.

Doublespeak. They say it's a myth but say they don't deny it. You won't get a straight answer from them.

Basim Naim is lying.
But it should be made clear that neither Hamas nor the Palestinian government in Gaza denies the Nazi Holocaust.

This is demonstrably false.

My quote is straight from a press-release that was put on Hamas' website, and was written by a senior leader. Their spiritual leaders say teaching their children about the holocaust is a warcrime because it's based on lies.

But, one spin doctor is enough to convince you that there's a schism in the ranks of Hamas about the holocaust.

:p

And how are Palestinians to know that the Nazi Holocaust was " not only a crime against humanity but one of the most abhorrent crimes in modern history" if they don't teach it to anyone?

Can you answer that Thunder?

Anyone with an internet connection is well-aware of the Holocaust.

Anyone with educated parents, is well-aware of the Holocaust.

Just because govt. teachers don't discuss it, doesn't mean folks don't know about it.

My first knowledge of the Holocaust came from my grandmother and my father, not teachers.

And by the way, alot of things can be "learned" from the internet, sex and conspiracy theories abound there especially. Does that mean we don't need sex ed and history classes?

We only need to log on the internet? Teachers have no relevance anymore?

...honestly, I could care less if you are unsatisfied with my answer.

Now I'm asking a different question. See, the discussion has progressed since then.

Why are teachers in Gaza told not to discuss the Holocaust?

That's the new question, the one I am asking now.

Got it? You think you're good to answer that one?
