I have always admired the way Obama handles protesters and hecklers. These are situations you can't script or prepare for but each time it happens, Obama has a way of deescalating and bringing humor and bringing out everybody's sense of simply being good natured to each other. He neither shuts them down nor does he allow them to take over. He usually just lets them have their say and has a brilliant response and moves on.

The guy who interrupted Obama was wearing a dress blue jacket with staff sgt stripes and combat infantryman badge, jump wings, bronze star, purple heart and it looks like an army commendation medal. No Good Conduct medal? And he is wearing a beret with an insignia I can't make out.

Just wondering if all that is legit. That's quite a collection for someone who looks to be in their 70's.

If he's 70 now, he would have been 20 in1966. Seems pretty plausible to me.

Yeah it is plausible, he did have quite a few hash marks.

Just that my skeptic radar goes on with someone flashing medals at an event like that, especially since it is so easily purchased. I did notice there was no name plate but I couldn't tell if there were any overseas bars. At one point I thought I saw them but it wasn't clear.
