Who's the most popular governor in the country right now?

If you guessed Andrew Cuomo, congratulations. He just passed gay marriage in NY and his favorability and approval rating both went up. Granted that NY is a blue state, but it has some fairly red parts too. Cuomo has also been effective in other ways, such as getting a dysfunctional legislature to function again so that NY can get its fiscal house in order.

See here too.

He also balanced budget, cut spending and cut taxes. So not only on social issues hes more than reasonable :)

That's a hell of a resume if true.

How can all those things be true?

It's like having cake and eating it too.

These claims will be scrutinized anyway so the scrutinization may as well start here and now.

Kryptonite is only relevant in the context of Superman. If the politician in question has more in common with Lois Lane or Jimmy Olson, Gay Marriage doesn't have to be political Kryptonite. It could just as easily be a Burglar, or a Really Big Rock, as far as Jimmy Olson Goes to Washington is concerned.

This is why that Red-Eye show, late at night on FoxNews, sucks.

Interesting. I'm not sure if "balanced the budget" is literally true as none of the links appear to make that claim, but it seems that he at least significantly shrunk the deficit, while cutting taxes and cutting spending.

I wish that Cuomo's case of common sense was communicable, and a few other pols would catch it.
