A Brooklyn rabbi who says he helped write the speech that Carl Paladino gave to Orthodox leaders on Sunday that contained anti-gay remarks is withdrawing his support for the GOP candidate for governor. The rabbi says it is because Paladino apologized for those remarks under pressure from his family. Paladino said he has a nephew who is gay.

I can't believe that Paladino brought me back to these boards but...

He owned Cobalt and Buddies II? No way! All I remember of hearing of him before his run for governor was him crying and moaning about not getting enough money from the State and Buffalo to finish whatever business he super duper promised he was ACTUALLY going to build this time. To find out that he actually had a business that really ran is surprising. It isn't surprising that he didn't build the buildings.

Why should someone discriminate if he has a personal view on gays? It was just a building one of his companies owns, I am sure he has many buildings he owns and discriminating would cause more trouble than it's worth.

I also see people absurdly insinuating that he is gay because of this and that it would be somehow wrong to then criticise the gays. Many drug addicts and alcoholists "bash" drug addicts and alcoholists too in effort to help them and themselves, why not the gays?

ALBANY -- Maybe it's a good thing Carl Paladino skipped the Gay Pride Parade -- his aide went, and got a real earful!

Roger Stone, a key adviser to the Republican gubernatorial candidate -- who called the parade "disgusting" -- not only went to the march, but joined in the festivities, doffing his shirt and getting his ear licked by a bosomy, nearly naked babe.

Stone, a gay-marriage advocate, has minced no words about his displeasure with the anti-gay remarks Paladino made in Brooklyn Sunday to a group of ultra-Orthodox rabbis.

"It doesn't even seem to be consistent with [Paladino's] 'live and let live' philosophy," Stone told the news Web site The Daily Beast.

"When I asked what happened, the answer was no answer: 'Yeah, it was a f- -k-up.' "

The Hasidic Brooklyn rabbi who hosted Paladino as he made the remarks withdrew his support for him in the wake of the candidate's apology to gays on Tuesday.

It is better than this, his son managed one of the clubs so they did not just rent space from him. But that club got turned from a gay club to a straight club so of course all the gay staff had to be fired right?
