Gage's public speaking schedule

It's amazing to think he ever got registered in the first place.....

Unfortunately registration, like education, does not guarantee quality. I know a couple of registered engineers who are walking lawsuits because of their incompetence.

Alas, yes, I sit on the professional practice board of our institute and know what you mean........

You slap your wife around?

For shaaaaaaaaaame....

;):D:p

(Yeah, I know what he really meant: The slap was his wife hitting him. But I think it's funnier to "interpret" it this way :D ... as a side note, I'm really picking up some bad habits from the truthers here...)

Well, the slapping is reserved for certain special times... :boxedin:

Aye, right. More like the rolling pin to the heid, when ye come back fae the pub late.

If I didn't already have a job scheduled for saturday I would be there, camera-in-hand (sans $10 donation, of course).

Classy. Do you also leave restaurants without paying if you don't like the food?

What restaurants do you eat at which ask for a donation rather then charge you?

At some point, I hope you recognize that your completely inability to comprehend what you read will help you decide to seek professional help.

Thanks for the well thought out response. If I was truly unable to comprehend what I read, how am I able to understand the message I'm replying to right now? Better yet, how was I able to register an account here? I'll let you connect the remaining dots on your own.

Getting back on track - your question is irrelevant, because the scenario I presented was analogous to the scenario in the message I was replying to. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you overlooked that possibility in your haste to insult me.

Of course you pay for food, but if you do not like it or the service, a tip is usually withheld.

I liken the donation to a tip. Otherwise, they should have made it a "Pay" event, without option.

TAM:)

I don't pay if the food turns out to be re-heated leftovers from some other restaurant I already know I don't like.

First, the fact is you compared a donation with a direct charge. No amount of wiggling can remove that fact.

Second, you are partially correct, considering your reply, I may have been hasty to assume you simply failed to comprehend. Your problem may be more serious then simply the lack of reading skills.

My suggestion for professional is more relevant then ever.

I was at Bugaboo Creek last night. My daughter asked her burger to be well done. It came back like they cooked it with a flashlight.....

They cooked her a new one.... and we didn't pay for it. :)

Deep44 is right guys. AE911Truth is like a restuarant. Only instead of food, they serve lies. And instead of drinks, they badger you with misinformation.

In most US states, Great Britain, and presumably elsewhere, restaurant patrons are not required to pay for poor-quality food.

That aside, your analogy is extremely specious (the "apples and oranges" fallacy). As has been noted, a "donation" is voluntary, and implies that the donor is giving money in order to support the work of the donee. No reasonable person would expect a protester at any religious event or political rally to make a donation to support the cause against which he or she was protesting; that's clearly absurd. Further, when you eat a meal in a restaurant, the establishment incurs a large number of variable costs: costs of the food, salaries for the cooks and wait staff, etc. Conversely, there is no measurable incremental cost for one additional person to attend a lecture.

...if the manager comps my meal, absolutely. (But I still tip the wait staff)

But generally, no.
When I order a meal at a restaurant I'm agreeing to pay the NOT OPTIONAL amount of money listed on the menu.

If this event required payment of $10 to enter, I wouldn't go. But since it is an OPTIONAL donation, no one is obligated to pay.

Yesterday was the big day, and it was awesome! To follow up on this little derail of mine from Friday without derailing this thread further, I posted just a few shots here on the picture thread instead of posting them in this thread and derailing it further. :)

Do you seriously expect us to believe that you blew up a car? Those pictures are clearly fake! That fireball has obviously been photoshopped in! And those pics of the aftermath? Everyone knows that cars turn white when they burn! And look at the tires; they're not even flat! What about the guy with the fire hose? Everyone knows real firefighters don't hold a hose that way!

Also, has Transport Canada reconstructed the car? I want to see a complete list of parts and serial numbers matched to the manufacturer's records that prove it's a real car!

Hey, I'm just asking questions here.

:duck:

That's one of the best imitations of a twoofer I've seen in weeks! ;)

Don't be ridiculous. No igloo-dwelling Canadian could ever drive...erm, blow up....a car. P!WNED!
