The man said he would rather die than surrender, guess he got his wish. Gaddafi had plenty of opportunities to flee or turn himself in over the last few months, he could have been in a cosy cell in the Hague right now working on his memoirs but his ego just couldn't deal with reality so he wound up dying in a large drainage pipe, his choice.

One of the earliest comments on a BBC article yesterday, regarding his capture, pointed out that al-Jazeera were saying he was dead, and that essentially the MSM were doing their masters bidding of sowing confusion on purpose (see WTC 7 has/has not collapsed malarchy).


I have to agree. The calm and ordered manner of his capture, as shown on the phone footage, suggests as much. I can't think why reporters sat in Tripoli could have had such a hard time finding out the truth..:rolleyes:

mathaba.net has been quite puzzled about the whole affair. I commented on one of their stories to ask if, when Aisha Gaddafi pays her respects, they will accuse her of being paid off. This was swiftly answered with a block. Suffice to say they're not in a good mood. The leading theory among Gaddafi fanboys seems to be "some other guy in a latex mask." I wonder if I can get that mask for Halloween.
 
Delusional Idiots Forum, predictably, has about 6 threads on this, and many people express the usual DIF dipstickery about zion, MSM, secret armies and "that doesn't look like him" kerfluffle.

On a strangely related note, they are also convinced Obama is pulling out of Iraq, not because of a deal Bush made, not because he made a campaign promise to do so and reelection is approaching, not because staying means Iraq renewing the "immunity from prosecution" rules for US servicemembers and the Iraq government refuses to do it,

Gaddafi's body is show in a freezer. You can't fool the Libyans, they know what he looked like.
