A broken man on a Halifax pier, the last of Barret
Mildly surprised that no one has started a thread about a couple of future events that got some play at TAM5.
One is that TAM6 is planned now for June 2008 instead of January; an extra 5 months to wait for many but perhaps a chance for those with school-age children to attend and more in the vacation season for many. OTOH, it will be slightly warmer in Vegas (think 90F +)...OTOOH, think skepchicks in bikinis...
I was more interested in the Cruises..the 2007 cruise is already filling up nicely, I put my deposit down on a room (but may be looking for a roomie if Cruise Roomie Cleon doesn't come or brings a guest) for the Alaska cruise this fall. If you've been considering it, suggest you act soon, there was a cut-rate price at TAM and the cost will only go up in the future. This'll complete my 50-states visited and maybe I'll see the Northern Lights to go with the Southern Cross. The BA is already committed to cruising with us, IIRC.
More tantalizing is the plan for a trip to the Galapagos Islands in 2008. The thought by me (and most of the folks who heard it) was (1) I'd LOVE to do that followed immediately by (2) I don't know how I could AFFORD it. Well, got some time to plan, hopefully the Waggs will get some info out later this year and let us know how much the second mortgage needs to be.
Just for thinking and information.
