He's also somewhat "ethically" challenged. In the SF Chron today, there is an article whose headline is "House GOP Leader rebuked for 2nd time by ethics panel"

I guess being an ethical politician is NOT a requirement to be considered religeous.

Checked that quote via Google. The only place to have the second sentence is the source site, which claims to be nonpartisan but seems to have no criticism of any Democrats.

When you search for "The causes of youth violence are daycare, the teaching of evolution and working mothers who take birth control pills." you get nothing but apparently this is because the quote is not 100% exact searching on "Guns have little or nothing to do with juvenile violence." on the other hand gives you 41 hits, of the top 10, only one failed to report the entire sentence.

I wonder whether the Christian fundies will start insisting that all Jews go to Israel so they can cut to the Rapture - the end days are dragging on, after all, and I don't think they've really forgiven the Christ-killers. That possibility is certainly a threat to US Jews, if no-one else.

Ah, but I read the 'left behind' series (all six thousand of the f***ers), and apparently the Jews will be left behind until they figure out which is the 'right' God to worship. Then they'll get their act together- after committing myriad acts of righteous heroism.

So it'll all work out in the end.

Where's the bit about god taking the Australians to heaven to rule the kingdom? I thought I saw that in there somewhere....
