Yep, we've got ourselves a FOTLer. No doubt the FOTLers will say that hes a government plant made to discredit their movement, of course.

Jerry Kane, who used the Internet to question federal and local government authority over him, made money holding debt-elimination seminars around the country.

Sounds similar to the dozens of self-proclaimed FOTL experts that hold seminars on how to get out of debt using A4V, notice of intent, claim of right, and other various legal woo methods.

On an Internet radio show, Mr. Kane expressed outrage about his New Mexico arrest. “I ran into a Nazi checkpoint in the middle of New Mexico where they were demanding papers or jail,” he said. “That was the option. Either produce your papers or go to jail. So I entered into commerce with them under threat, duress and coercion, and spent 47 hours in there.”

This is exactly the type of language FOTLers use. Because you see, he only could agree to enter into commerce - they can't force him, and the 'threat, duress, and coercion" line is used every time they are in jail for failing with their FOTL woo methods.

Mr. Potok said such schemes were common in the movement, whose members consider themselves sovereign citizens.

“He basically promised them they would never have to repay their mortgage or credit card debt,” Ms. MacNab said.

There was a shoot out in West Memphis that left four dead, two police officers, a man and his 16 year old son.

Never fails. Everytime something like this happens, the scream of "inside job" comes from the Tin Foilers.
and the Government does not need to frame the FOTLers and the "Patriot" Movement (and I hate them for disgracing that honorable word) as a bunch of loons. They do a fine job of that all by themselves......
