Free Britney!

When the ACLU sides with Nazi's, everyone gets upset. When they side with Britney, they all cheer. Funny how that works, around here.

Did you say you were going to post the results of her medical evaluations? I mean, obviously that is what you must be basing your opinion on...not the profit-hungry reports of the media, right?

Why no reply to anyone who explains why we don't need access to her medical reports to make an informed conclusion that she shouldn't be in a conservatorship?

Instead you just keep posting as though those arguments haven't been made.

I think when the ACLU defends Nazis, I think you’ll find some people here agree with them and some don’t. Police brutality, protests, communism, even 9/11 election fraud conspiracies, the existence of aliens and Bigfoot are all topics with some people in agreement on each side of the debate.

And yet, so few agree this is a warranted conservatorship.

Based on everything we know about her public life, it's impossible to believe that there could be anything in her medical records proving that she is suffering from dementia or brain damage, the primary justifications for a permanent conservatorship. According to your own links, California law requires that lesser illnesses and disabilities be treated or managed with less severe measures -- options that apparently were never made available to her.

Nope, just your illogical assertion it's okay to lump all people with mental issues into one lump sum, dehumanize them and rob them of their lives. But hey, that's kinda Nazi like (SELF GODWIN INVOKED) aint it?

The fact Elizabeth Warren and Ted Cruz both agree on this is a shot over the bow of Daddy spears, who belongs in prison.... or worse.

Warp is just arguing from a different perspective than the rest of us. He's totally fine with an individual's liberties being stripped away by an unaccountable agent of the state, in the furtherance of some nebulous "greater good." Personally, I'm more skeptical of the government, and would prefer something more substantial than a bureaucrat's say-so before someone's rights are infringed.

If Spock (from Star Trek) had been interpersonally exploitive, he might've said:

The greed of the depraved outweigh the civil liberties, dignity, property, and life, of the vulnerable.

-Ernie Marsh

I served with Spock. I knew Spock. Spock was a friend of mine. You're no Spock.

EXPLOITATIVE

Correction: I misspelled exploitative, in post #512. I incorrectly spelled it as exploitive; the correct spelling is exploitative.

My quote with the correct spelling of exploitative:

If Spock (from Star Trek) had been interpersonally exploitative, he might've said:

The greed of the depraved outweigh the civil liberties, dignity, property, and life, of the vulnerable.

-Ernie Marsh

Exploitative, as defined by Merriam-Webster online dictionary, says:
"unfairly or cynically using another person or group for profit or advantage"
