Yah. I was thinking of posting that, but in this case the punchline really doesn't add much. Even assuming that Phelps got the message correctly, he'd just be protesting something else, most likely outside the all you can eat buffet.

Even before I clicked the red button, I knew that whatever Jeebus had said, it obviouly wasn't 'god hates fags'. For me at least, knowing that he'd ACTUALLY said 'god hates fatties' didn't add much. After a two thousand year game of telephone, it really didn't matter WHAT the original message was. That's what I got out of it; assuming the truth of the existence of jesus and god, we really don't have a clue what the original message was, due to corruption of the oral record, discrepancies in transcription and translation, politically motivated editing, and 2000 some years of general douchbaggery.

That, and it's an interesting, though low-resolution essay on the history of costuming.
