Like pro wrestling managers who "have no idea" that the wrestler brought an illegal foreign object into the ring, Fox News "management" knew nothing of this, including Roger Ailes himself, who must be proud, proud, proud of the high quality production values. If you can watch this and not wince and know you're being lied to by a "news channel," then you really do hate Obama and believe he controls everything like a magician. Which is your right, of course.

While obviously a negative perspective on Obama's record, and while I don't want to sound like I am supporting Fox News: Fox and Friends is an opinion show. This kind of thing would seem fair game for an opinion show. If they move it to their news slot, that would be another thing.

How does the Citizens United decision relate to this? The plaintiffs in the Citizens United case claimed the "freedom of the press" exemption from legal restrictions. This implies a prior recognition by courts of editorial freedom of the press. The plaintiffs argued that "the press" is a process, not an institution. That is, however the court ruled, the freedom of the institutional press (including Fox News, MSNBC, The Wall Street Journal and Mother Jones would have included the freedom to present the news as they pleased (up to but not including libel). Journalists always had this freedom.

Point 1: Fox IS the MSM! FFS you can't simultaneously crow about how many more people watch it and then talk about this "MSM" as if it is some foreign entity.
Point 2: Ailes may well have but if so perhaps a slight change is needed. Change the slogans to; Fox News: "Fair" & "Balanced"<wink>,
and;
Fox News: We "Report", You Decide (based on the tiny amount of factual information we distorted and gave to you)

Weird... even though my opinion was basically who cares since I thought F&F was just an opinion show, Fox apparently pulled the video from their web site. So I suppose there is more to this.

My favorite part of the ad, btw, was the music that was about one step below the Omen music.
