Fox News knew they were lying about election

Another red flag, as the Washington Post reports:

The Fox ad cites YouGov as its source. The data from the survey, listed in the ad as being from “YouGov Profiles+,” don’t appear to be public. YouGov hasn’t responded to requests for the data...Washington Post link

Below is another YouGov poll from one year ago.

In this earlier poll (I omitted about ten in 'the middle' because the image is very large) respondents were asked -- not what news source do they watch and then rate the most trustworthy -- they were asked to simply rate news sources as trustworthy/untrustworthy. More people ranked BBC, PBS, NPR, Washington Post, CBS, etc. as trustworthy than untrustworthy. Down at the bottom is Fox. Respondents rating Fox as untrustworthy outnumbered respondents labeling it trustworthy by 14%. Only Breitbart did worse. Link to YouGov 2022 poll

Yeah, my understanding from various podcasts is that Dominion wants a retraction/apology as often and in all the same time slots as the lies Fox broadcasted. That is probably the thing Fox wants to avoid most, even over the money.

The ad appears to be based on a very subjective sampling. Note the numbers below add up to about 148%. How is that possible? The Washington Post explains it very well.

YouGov seems to be reputable. I wonder how they feel about Fox News misrepresenting the results of that poll?

i don't think it would be in anyone's interest for them to settle except for fox. the evidence against them seems to be overwhelming and the reputational damage against dominion is very real. i think they're less likely to lose so many county contracts with a judgement in their favor than a settlement, even if it includes admission of wrongdoing.

of course, i'm sure there's some "i'll just take a huge amount of money and move on with my life" factor to the decision as well.
