Fox News Host Gets Triggered by Historian

That's a plus point. But there would be no diversity either...

OK, you talked me into it.

Insinuating that the only thing that makes people "diverse" is the color of their skin.

You talked yourself into that.

"You are a millionaire funded by billionaires, that’s what you are," Bregman says, setting Carlson off. "And I’m glad you now finally jumped [on] the bandwagon of people like Bernie Sanders and AOC"

It's obvious he doesn't know what Tucker Carlson's political views are.

Anyway, I never heard of this Bregman (I'm guessing he's childless and he appears to be suffering from hypogonadism), but his ideas for dangerous. He has a brilliant vision for a "utopia" and he wants to impose it on the rest of the world. Not cool.

His ideas are entirely sound. It is about time people called out the parasitic super wealthy for being the cancer on society that they are.

Race? Rutger Bugman did the world a favor by not breeding. It's annoying when these Darwin's dead ends pontificate how the world ought to be. Tucker Carlson never wants his beautiful family to be subjected to the whims of these rootless bugmen.

It is a real crime that scum like Tucker was somehow allowed to pass on his obviously deficient genetics.

Great. Looking forward to him pitching his open borders policy to China. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when President Xi's advisors tell him about it.

"President Xi, there's a diabetic bugman here to tell you about a policy he's envisioned where we open our borders to Indians, Pakistanis, and North Koreans, and give them a free money. He's wearing a Spiderman t-shirt for some reason and he has no children."

It is a real crime that scum like Tucker was somehow allowed to pass on his obviously deficient genetics.
A rootless bugman can never create something as beautiful as that family.

What is it with you and people with no children?

Oh, that's right, some nonsense that you can't support.

Those white people who don't believe in Baylor's variety of white supremacy are what he would call "race traitors" - they should never be allowed to breed because their issue will contaminate the pure white gene pool with wrong-thinking people.

Remember what his scumbag imperious leader Steve King said - "We can't restore our civilization with somebody else's babies." - ?

Carlson lapses into this sort of hysteria on a fairly regular basis. His supporters / listeners seem to imagine that this is somehow a positive characteristic.

Another example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQeW5_etmfI

Now that IS funny - must be some kind of record; Carlson made about a dozen strawman arguments in 5 minutes and 20 seconds. I think he would go al right as a right-wing contributor at ISF!

However, watching/listening to Carlson having a meltdown a couple of days ago was the most fun I have had watching a video in a long time, made even funnier when Rutger Bregman just remained cool and calm and allowed Carlson to make a complete idiot of himself.

Insisting that the super-rich pay their fair share of taxes is hardly Utopian.
Nor is it an outlier opinion.
Uhhh this guy wrote a book called "Utopia for realists." He's an Open Borders/Universal Basic Income crank.

:)
Yes, the Carlson fans must be so proud of him and of themselves after watching his meltdown.

How would they know?
Point google to any one of your favorite right wing sites and see what they have to say about Bregman. Even the crickets are silent.

So, does he ever have someone he disagrees with in studio? Or did he learn from the spanking Jon Stewart gave him? Because every time someone brings up an interview of his, is over video conference.

In truth? That's exactly what he does. people who are in another studio allow him to control the conversation, to jettison them if h'e s tired of them, and so forth.

In a rare moment of honesty, Cenk Ugar of the Young Turks calls out Rutger Bugman for his dishonesty and misrepresenting Tucker Carlson's political position. Rootless Bugman just assumed Tucker's views for him and attacked them. So this is another case of a Eurowimp feigning interested in a discussion and was only interested in playing a game of "gotcha" and Tucker Carlson understandably was frustrated. Needless to say, I often share Tucker's frustration on these boards.

You mean this?

'A trap': Carlson gets a sympathetic ear from progressive Cenk Uygur of the Young Turks.
He notes that Carlson clearly wanted to talk about tax avoidance, but Bregman wouldn't engage. “It clearly was a trap and he fell into it," says Uygur, per Mediaite. "Let’s just keep it real, that’s what happened.”
Heated, Unaired Interview With Tucker Carlson Leaks (att.net, Feb. 22, 2019)

Still, I'm surprised. I didn't think Uygur was pure-blooded enough for you!

You can tell by the way he talks about him, Cenk Ugar respects Tucker Carlson greatly. He was defeated by Carlson in a debate. And Cenk comes from a culture where masculine men like Tucker are valued and not feared. And wimpy Bugmen like this Rutger character are frowned upon. Even though Tucker is suppose to be Cenk's "enemy," there is a great deal of respect there, and the same respect in not given to Bugman. Cenk actually says Bugman was not only incorrect about Tucker Carlson but he was also looking for "catharsis."

So let me see if I get this:
The white guy defeated the brown guy, who, however, is a macho, which is a plus point for him because it enables him to see the superiority of the white guy, which puts him above the really white childless Dutch guy?

You didn't actually listen to the segment, did you? He took exception to a couple of issues but he did not call him out for dishonesty nor for misrepresenting Carlson's positions. Uygur's position seems to be that he wants to believe the Tucker has the potential to be a young turk of a different sort because he wants to have this conversation and Bregman went straight after him without giving him a chance to have that imaginary discussion. Uygur's cohosts disagree with him, one of them saying that Carlson's interest in fighting the big corporation is partisan and that they don't trust him (I'd guess so, after years of experience watching him.)

It's Uygur who's actually misrepresenting Carlson; in a fit of wishful thinking he's trying to promote the idea that Carlson could become the Anti-Murdoch. I sincerely doubt it.
