In order to be clear on this subject before things get out of hand in the forum, this has just been reported:
http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3652649,00.html

At least two Katyusha rockets fired from southern Lebanon land in Western Galilee region Thursday morning, in and around town of Nahariya; two people lightly wounded in attack; school day cancelled in town. IDF shells rocket launching sites in southern Lebanon in response

Israel did not start this attack. Someone is firing at Israel.

Typical of Hizbullah to take the opportunity to attack a seemingly distracted Israel.

This article is interesting:
http://www.smh.com.au/news/world/lebanon-rockets-fired/2009/01/08/1231004188749.html

Hamas and Fatah deny the attack. This is fairly credible as they say they don't want to use Lebanese territory to wage their war on Israel. Israeli retaliation against Lebanon wouldn't win them many friends there.

Hezbollah has said that 'all options are open' but their spokesman appears not to know whether they were responsible.

lolol. silly boy. there are no jews left in lebanon.

The State of Israel occupies parts of Lebanese territory, according to some definitions, (See: Sheeba Farms, and Ghajar/Wazzani) and this type of action is typical of Jihadist Palestinian efforts to liberate all Islamic Lands from the Jews.

"All the nursing home's elderly residents were in the dining room for breakfast at the time of the attack." -- Jack Khoury, Haaretz.

welcome back. Haven't seen you in a while.

Back to topic: I'm waiting for the haters to say that Israel was the aggressor.

Israel is fighting Palestinians. The claim is made that Israel is the aggressor against the native Palestinian people, and that Israel is occupying lands that were aggessively STOLEN from their rightful owners, the Palestinians --- and I'm not talking about 1967, I'm talking about 1897 - 1947.

So, Palestinian factions (apparently, I assume without confirmation) are firing from Lebanon. There are calls from several quarters for this type of action:

"armed public resistance based on faith and determination is the stronger and better choice."-- Sheikh Nasrallah, speaking in Beirut, Jan 7, 2009

Come on, any truther can see the flaw in this. Firstly, if the holocaust actually happened how come there are old jewish people alive anyway?

Secondly, as they are all holocaust liars, its obvious they lied about the rocket hitting their home. Its clearly a controlled demolition. Cleaners were seen in the home two days earlier, and the toilets were sealed off. Planting charges perhaps?

Don't hold your breath. The haters are the one's always excusing Israel for it's actions and claiming israel is always defensive.

I just wish certain people would be honest and say that It's OK for Palestinians/Hezbollah to Kill Israelis . You know that is what a lot of them really think but don't have the Cojones to say so.

Hamas and Israel are at war. In war, it is perfectly acceptable for BOTH sides to attempt to kill combatants.

When Hamas kills Israeli soldiers..it is not an act of terrorism. It is a legitimate act of war.

Just because Hamas are a terrorist group..doesn't mean all their acts are terrorist acts.

Just because Israel is a democracy...doesn't mean all their acts are appropriate for a democracy.

Any violent action against any/all civilians..whether it be passive violence such as blockades, black outs...or aggresive violence such as suicide attacks on buses, targeting of civilian buildings or housing for rockets..is ALWAYS unacceptable.

Anyone who engages in either passive or aggresive violence against a civilian population should be tried for crimes against humanity and/or war crimes.

Both Hamas AND Israel share responsibility for this pathetic war.

Yeah; Hamas launches rockets at Israel and Israel should have just what? Took it? I keep hearing this ridiculous assertion that Israel needs to adopt a "◊◊◊◊ happens" policy concerning rocket attacks targeting its citizens.

Well of course such a suggestion would be rediculious. Isreal has never attacked an occupied lebanon and has stayed completely clear of the area for the last few years. Ah.

Well it aparently does with regards to death by car acidents. So from a terminaly rational position that would be a reasonable short to medium term responce. Of course emotionaly it is completely unaceptable but thats not unusual.

The UN is unequivocal on this issue. The Shebba Farms belong to Syria.

In a situation probably unique in international politics Syria disagrees however You really couldn't make this stuff up. There is almost a cause that isreal should withdraw from the farms for the potenial ammusement value alone.
