Last night I viewed, for the third or fourth time, the Discovery-Times documentary "Flight 175: As the World Watched."

I can't begin to describe how intensely moving I found the experience. It's one of the main reasons I got into the debunking business. If you haven't already seen this extraordinary short film, please make every possible effort to do so.

I hear ignoramuses and charlatans babbling their contemptible nonsense about "video fakery" and "thermite" all the time on this forum and others. The best corrective is to hear the words of Louise Sweeney:

When I watch that plane go in, I'm watching my son die."

Call her a liar, Ace.

I watched it yesterday as well. The couple that flew with their young daughter was the one that touched me the most. Watching that, and then seeing Ace spread his nonsense is just sickening. The fact he honestly believes the junk he says is just gobsmackingly mindboggling!

I cannot find this on a google search. Every place it was allegedly uploaded, it says it is no longer available

TAM:(

I did a quick search on several bit torrent sites and turned up nadda, which is surprising. Usually torrent sites have everything 911 related. Conspiracy?

Remember watching "UNITED 93" on Showtime in our firehouse with some of newest members, only 17-18 yr old. They were only 12 on Sept 11. Their
comments were pretty enlightening - say how P*ss*d Off and angry were
getting watching the terrorist plot unfold. Not all teenagers are LOOSE
CHANGE spouting truthers.

Most people are rational and smart. The truth movement is not.

I spoke to someone in the Discovery Channel's customer relations department. "Flight 175:As the World Watched" will air on September 11 at 5:00 AM EST and again at 8:00 AM. It is, unfortunately, not available on DVD.

I posted my message about this intensely moving documentary on the insanely bloated thread centering around "Malcolm Kirkman's" fantasies. Here is what he posted:

"Who do you think you are talking to?
A coachload of pensioners on a day out?
I don't know who Mrs Sweeney is, but from your description it sounds as if she was told her son was on 175 and that 175 hit tower two.
I'd be grateful if you could seek her out or otherwise put me in touch with her. The first thing I would tell her is that in over 3,500 posts on here, no one has put up one scintilla of evidence that 175 hit the south tower or that 175 even took off. I would then ask truthers near to her to bring her up to date. I would also tell her that I am in the process of demolishing the OCT on this forum and at the moment I'm showing that 77 did not hit the Pentagon and I won't be deflected.
Kindly put me in touch with Ace and then wheel your crocodile tears somewhere else.
My name is Somerled, you do believe me, don't you?"

Now, I've been warned about intemperate language. I understand the moderators' position and I believe that they do an excellent job here. But, I am beyond anger. This unspeakable moron says, "put me in touch with her"--referring to the mother of a man who died on that flight.

There are no words. There are simply no words.

Ron...do what I do.

Type out your angry, cussive filled reply to them. Sit back, read it a couple of times, then delete it before you send it, go get a drink, come back and post a more tolerable reply.

My kids have this channel on their cable, so I've asked them to record it for me when it's aired on 9/11.

Unfortunately, they can't burn to DVD, so I guess I'll just have to go babysit the grand-daughters some evening so I can watch it. :D

I saw United 93 in the theater. I was awed at the reaction as it ended. The entire theater sat silent for several seconds and then just one (male) voice said, "Bastards!"

Then everyone got up quietly and left.

I was involved in the making of UAL93, was actually in the movie but got edited out. I did get credit for being an ATC Consultant, and was lucky enough to go to the premier in New York City. At the end of the movie most of the families were behind us. They were "balling" not just crying. I can't describe the feeling, I don't think there was a dry eye in the place. It was probably one of the most moving experiences I have ever felt.

These people have suffered, and to hear lies about how thier family members died or in some cases that they never even took off and are living it up on some remote island is just BS and disrepsectful.

It certainly had an emotional impact on me, not quite on the level of Life is Beautiful (I had to pull over on the way home, because I couldn't see through the tears), but I did shead a few tears and became more resolved to not let these people be forgotten.

Jennie,

I was able to ditch work to watch United 93 the day it premiered here (if I recall correctly, it was in May 2006 here) and the experience was very similar to that which you've described. Never before had I ever had occasion to be in a movie theatre where the entire audience sat in silence after the movie ended, but that is how it was that day.

It took several minutes before anyone spoke or moved, and when they did, it was similar to that which you described. When I cast my mind back to that day, I still remember the bizarreness of it and I can still feel the raw emotion that was front and centre.

It's never happened before or since that a movie could evoke those things in me. Yet, that movie did, on that day.
