Flat Earth Society's Application

The sheer amount of crazy magic required to make the Earth flat is enough that I still think the Flat Earth Society is a long-running joke.

They would also pretty much be required to believe every space ship, every satellite, and every telescope image of another planet are fake.

It's just not possible.
 
I clicked on the link, and then my brain just gave up. I don't have the mental energy to even let that stuff in there.

I'm surprised they have a forum. I would have thought that anyone who wouldn't believe the earth was round would treat a computer as evil withcraft.
 
At present modern science does not have a clue as far as the true mechanism for gravity. The entire concept is imaginary and speculative, without test or demonstration, and without any supporting evidence whatsoever.

After my reading that, I went and checked the FAQ. Apparently:

Q: "What about the stars, sun and moon and other planets? Are they flat too? What are they made of?"

A: The sun and moon, each 32 miles in diameter, rotate at a height of 3,000 miles above sea level. As they are spotlights, they only illuminate certain places. This explains why there are nights and days on Earth. The stars are at a height of 3,100 miles above sea level, which is as far as from San Francisco to Boston. In the dark energy model, the celestial bodies are spherical and are made of ordinary matter. These spheres are being held above the Earth by DE.

In the McIntyre model, the sun and the moon are metallic discs instead. These discs are being held above the Earth by photoelectric effect. See: Photoelectric Suspension Theory. The celestial bodies are also being suspended above the Earth by photoelectric effect in the Bishop model.

Of course. It's dark energy. They're happy with dark energy and the photoelectric effect, but gravity is right out.

You're a braver person than I am. You have to marvel at the lengths to which self delusion will go.

I suggest that it is all a joke by Tom Bishop. Any excuse to dispute facts. Suggesting that waves and particles are alternatives for electrons.
