Flashing keyboard lights.

Shouldn't be; I usually notice it when it happens while I'm typing. It's a bit odd. I'll keep an eye on it and see if it happens at a particular time of day, and have a hunt around to see if something's trying to do something at that point.

All the lights lighting up sounds like part of the POST, the Power On Self-Test. It's the same thing when you first turn on your car -- all the dashboard lights come on briefly. The purpose is so you can see they all work and which, if any, are burned out.

So something inside the kb or in the computer that deals with the kb is resetting. It may be at a much higher level than "just" the kb, of course.
