Finally. Wikileaks: Obama and Clinton Armed ISIS

It's in the emails wikileaks has not leaked yet. I think maybe the 4th year of the Clinton presidency we can expect them to come out. Because she won't have started any wars so they can look for old dirt. Assange will be posting these from his jail in Sweden.

So still nothing in the way of a link to this story 'that's all over the internet'? I suppose ABP could just mean he's posted the same thing on lots of forums...

All I could find was this:

I'm not so sure about the quality of the website in question though.

The Smoking Gun?
Emails PROVE Clinton Armed ISIS, Wikileaks Founder Claims
Julian Assange says there is more damning evidence against Hillary.

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange is nowhere near done releasing information that could cost Hillary Clinton the presidency!

Appearing on Democracy Now! the Wikileaks founder slammed the Democratic presidential nominee for her “disastrous” performance in office and claimed that he has already released hacked emails that showed Clinton inadvertently armed ISIS.

“The disastrous, absolutely disastrous intervention in Libya, the destruction of the Gaddafi government, which led to the occupation of ISIS of large segments of that country, weapons flows going over to Syria, being pushed by Hillary Clinton, into jihadists within Syria, including ISIS, that’s there in those emails,” Assange said. “There’s more than 1,700 emails in Hillary Clinton’s collection, that we have released, just about Libya alone.”

It certainly is possible that some US weapons ended up in ISIS hands, but that doesn't mean they were intentionally supplied to them. For example, some Iraqi troops were armed with US-supplied weapons that fell into ISIS hands when they fled before ISIS. But that isn't new news and we didn't need these emails to learn about it.

Yeah, their homepage is full of grocery store scandal rag headlines (National Enquirer, Weekly Wold News, etc.) I half expected to see a headline about Bat Boy or Bigfoot :D.

Taking their story at face value though, all they are saying is that Julian Assange claimed to have emails proving this.

FWIW, this appears to be the original source, an interview on "Democracy Now!":

Assange said:
So, those Hillary Clinton emails, they connect together with the cables that we have published of Hillary Clinton, creating a rich picture of how Hillary Clinton performs in office, but, more broadly, how the U.S. Department of State operates. So, for example, the disastrous, absolutely disastrous intervention in Libya, the destruction of the Gaddafi government, which led to the occupation of ISIS of large segments of that country, weapons flows going over to Syria, being pushed by Hillary Clinton, into jihadists within Syria, including ISIS, that’s there in those emails. There’s more than 1,700 emails in Hillary Clinton’s collection, that we have released, just about Libya alone.

To be clear here, Assange is referring to emails already released here, not those he is purportedly still holding back to release later in October or thereabouts.

Oh US weaponry definitely ended up in ISIL's hands when the Iraqis abandoned them in 2014, but so did Russian weaponry. Iraq tends to buy about equal amounts of weapons from the US and Russia, I believe, when they can afford to do so. But, and this is a big but, we are not deliberately putting our weaponry in ISIL's hands, despite what conspiracy theorists are claiming (the Shia are notorious for claiming that, tbh). I highly doubt ISIL would accept them if we tried; they hate us. It's one thing to use the spoils of war; it's another thing entirely to accept weaponry from the very people you are calling the great Devil in all of your published writings and online tweets and such.

It doesn't even have to "could be true", it still proves everything you need to know about Crooked Hillary. #trumpiness

Exactly. Do not allow the liberal media or facts to interfere with what you believe. As Speaker/intellectual Gingrich pointed out, it's also a fact(!) that we believe certain things.

Checked BBC, Sky, ITV news. it appears the US is indeed delivering weapons to IS in Libya, IS doesn't seem to thrilled about it though:

As to the actual claim, nothing. Its almost as if ABP was trying to distract everyone from something damaging to Trump, what could it be?

Ah, but see, that's "telly-vision". The OP doesn't have one; gets his news from "various sources on the internet", he claims.

As pointedly noted above, the OP never posts a link. He's learned that some of us know his sources and their credibility or lack of same far better than he does. Plus, of course, one's choice of their alt dot news is a pretty good indication of one's political interests and links to Venusian Lizard Invasion News might say more about the poster than the supposed "news".

In this case, there's a small circle of gossip and left or right anti-American sites who are banking on Assange's promise to bring down the house. They're digging up old crap and connecting dots. There's nothing from Wikileaks except for a supposed quote from Julian that this next release is going to be the big one, which I haven't yet verified.

Oh, the collision of fantasy and reality.

Even Alex Jones ain't playing this one.

It's breaking all over the internet, so choose your source.

The emails Hillary deleted are being released by WikiLeaks, and it includes proof regarding the US arming ISIS in Syria.

The urgency of changing the narrative to Russia being the source is clear. But it is extremely dangerous. In order to shift attention away from the content of the emails, start screeching about Russia spying on us.

This isn't a revelation, really. The US funding of rebels in Syria is well known. But the emails go back to 2011, when the US was shipping arms looted from Libya through Benghazi to the rebels in Syria. Clinton testified under oath she didn't know anything about it.

This was a bipartisan project. John McCain met with the same people, there are pictures available on the internet. That's why all the kerfuffle over Benghazi had to avoid what they were actually doing there. The rebel groups probably didn't like the fact we were taking the arms and shipping them to Syria instead of the Libyan rebels getting them. It is a straightforward motive for the attack, which on the surface appears to conflict with the fact we were the rebel's air force in overthrowing Qadaffi.

Obviously, Obama has an enormous self-interest in Hillary being elected so the disastrous middle east machinations stay under wraps.

So this in one of Hitlery Clinton's evil schemisch plans, eh?

Wait, why aren't Patrick Stewart, Andrea Merkel, Tim Kaine, Kevin Spacey or The Illuminati being mentioned?

And where are the FEMA Death Camps?

Iran-Contra. My how memory ceases to serve the Republican Party.

Anything the Republicans accuse others of, you can be sure it is from deep and prolonged practical experience with the topic, from collaborating with the enemy (Kissinger/Nixon) to conspiring to commit espionage (Trump).

If a Republican does something nasty: an innocent mistake by holy and well-meaning subordinates, support-our-troops! A Democrat? Lynch her! These R. boys are truly embarrassing; one waits for them to man up, but shockingly they never do.

Funny, ABP is posting in other threads since the OP but doesn't appear to be interested in the responses to this one.

It's old news that the US were supplying Syrian rebels with arms including those from Gaddafi's stores in Libya. They were routing them through the Balkans and into Turkey.

However, there is no evidence to suggest that ISIL have been directly supplied by the US. US supplied arms do fall into the hands of ISIL, but that happens because ISIL buy them, take them from other insurgent groups or capture them from the Iraqi army and YPG/SDF.

Agreed this isn't really news. The ME is AWASH in weapons from great powers arming proxies and those proxies arming other proxies in a nested doll of weapons. Shells have landed in Israel launched by Hamas and others that had hebrew writing on them.

Stuff gets messy.

But Assange isn't really breaking a story we didn't already know about:

Amnesty International discussed this back in December here: Amnesty International Says ISIS Armed With U.S. Weapons

So Assange isn't *really* uncovering anything new. In fact if all people think about when they think about western weapons getting into the wrong hands is Hillary Clinton (who sure as heck didn't know what she was doing, surely!) then they'd be forgetting all this **** from the Iraq War under Bush:

How the US let al-Qaida get its hands on an Iraqi weapons factory

The documentary No End In Sight was a handy place (of many) to cover the disastrous early days of the occupation:

Bremer's second official executive order disbanding all of Iraq's military entities, which went against the advice of the U.S. military and made 500,000 young men unemployed. The U.S. Army had wanted the Iraqi troops retained, as they knew the locals and could maintain order, but Bremer refused as he felt that they could be disloyal. However, many former Iraqi soldiers, many with extended families to support, then decided that their best chance for a future was to join a militia force. The huge arms depots were available for pillaging by anyone who wanted weapons and explosives, so the former Iraqi soldiers converged on the military stockpiles. The U.S. knew about the location of weapon caches, but said that it lacked the troops to secure them; ironically, these arms would later be used against the Americans and new Iraqi government forces.
Guess which groups became the nucleus of ISIS? If you said "all those guys raiding arms depots in the early days of the occupation" - you'd be right!

This is far more than a Clinton stumble, it's an American stumble, because they haven't really had a clue of how to tip the balance in their favour in the region for the last 30 years, and Clinton's story being just the latest in a long line of this **** is even more proof of their incompetence...

....or planned incompetence.... if you are to believe CTers and their belief that America does its stupid on purpose, as like a distraction cause people get money or something.....

Anyway why wouldn't stuff about weapons falling "in the wrong hands" follow America to Libya, Syria and everywhere else they try to do stupid **** like make people in a foreign country act the way they say they should?

However, there is no evidence to suggest that ISIL have been directly supplied by the US. US supplied arms do fall into the hands of ISIL, but that happens because ISIL buy them, take them from other insurgent groups or capture them from the Iraqi army and YPG/SDF.

Dammit, there goes nuance again, just ruining the sensationalist attempts to infer direct connections and conscious planning.

Thats ok by me. I much prefer to place these events into the "evidence for incompetence" or "futility of trying to make events in far off lands go in ways conducive to western interests" buckets.

Maybe a little less "sexy" than accounts which could lead to a Massive Conspiracy to create+maintain an "enemy" (for the MIC I guess??) - but I think why explain through "Crazy like a fox?" what can be explained through myopia, expediency, poor judgment and feckless strategy??
