If I put up a webpage accusing you of raping my mother; and keep in mind I am in the US and I would put up the page in such a manner as to preclude your finding out who I am from the UK; would you be complaining? Or, would you just shrug your shoulders and say, "Oh well."?

But as I mentioned on a previous thread, the laws of libel and defamation in the UK make suing much easier than in the US where the 'freedom of speech' element is often used as a defence.

Hell, an american court even ruled that a fox news affiliate had the 'right' to broadcast inaccurate information (lies).

It may amuse and infuriate the rest of us, but to a CTist, once you start thinking like this, it's very, very hard to turn back. Because who wouldn't like to believe reality works this way, malleable to your every whim, where things are true upon your say-so and it's up to everyone else to prove you wrong? I think that's why people like PD and KT and the rest of them are so unreachable, and why they are so rudely dismissive of anyone who tries to prove them wrong. After all, in their minds, this is their universe, the rest of us are only living in it.

Your problem is that you view matters in terms of which side it comes from/helps. Since this is the way you view the world, you assume that the other posters in this forum look at matters in this light. By the way, a significant percentage (most?) of posters in here would be described as liberal.

You've fallen into the trap of assuming that opposing stupid 9/11 theories means being conservative, pro-Bush, or pro-torture. The political stance of WND, by itself doesn't matter. The article itself was written by Joseph Farah in response to a perceived attack on Christians from Project Megiddo. His aim in writing the article was to place blame on the government because he felt the government was attacking Christians.

It's good that you cited an article. This is very basic research. However, you need to go beyond blindly accepting what is written and check the validity of the story itself. You wouldn't blindly accept what you regard as pro-government material. Why do you blindly accept what you regard as anti-government conspiracy material?

Seriously, the people who run into a burning building, risking their own lives, everyday to save people they don't even know, qualify for "hero" more then a guy who accuses them of taking part in the murder of 3000 people.
