I don't understand why the Democrats didn't give Landrieu the Keystone XL win in the Senate. It might, or might not, have been enough to help in the runoff election, but they could have done it at no cost to them.

If the lame duck Democratic Senators had voted with the Republicans they could have passed it. Then the President waits until after the election to veto it. The veto wouldn't hurt him, as he'll probably be vetoing the bill the new Senate passes next year anyway.

It wouldn't have made any difference if it passed. I glad most of the Dems didn't go along with the charade.

Yes, the former Confederacy, that bastion of civilization, prosperity, and enlightenment, is now even more deeply red. It will certainly become a paradise soon. If only the rest of the country could be as successful as Mississippi and Alabama.

The Democratic party abandoned racists long ago. Now the racists have abandoned the Democratic party.

Ahh love how the left always shows who they are. What do you think of Tim Scott, was he voted in by a bunch of racists?

He was appointed as a replacement by Jim DeMint, and only re-elected once he was already the incumbent, running as a Republican in South Carolina. It's not surprising that he won re-election. Can you name any other black Senator elected from the former Confederacy in the last 150 years?

What do you think of Steve King? Was he voted in by a bunch of tolerant, sane people?

Wouldn't a pipeline be better than shipping it rail or truck, as it is now? ;)

The pipeline will make it easier to sell Alberta oil on the world market instead of just to nearby customers in the US and Canada. That is why the planned pipeline goes to a port instead of a refinery complex.

He's only won one election, the only one he's been in and he won it, good grief, I know it pains you to have a black repub, but give it time, he'll win the next one too.

I'm talking about the KeystoneXL pipeline. The Canadians are free to send one to their ports, we thankfully have no control over that.

Yes. The GOP elects tokens so that they can say that they are not racist. Republicans place a black person into office while passing policies that hurt minorities.
