Face, meet leopard. Leopard, meet face.

Matters not in a country where voting is voluntary. Trump won this time because voters FAILED to turn out, not because he got more votes than previously. That suggests a core cadre of Trump voters exists. Lose those significantly and it is game over for the Mango Mussolini.
Yes there is a large core of Trump voters

They didn't mind him being convicted of 34 felonies.

They didn't mind hundreds of thousands dying due to the COVID response being botched.

They didn't mind him crashing the economy with them in it.

Why should they suddenly start minding now ?

They don't mind because they are thick as bricks and it hasn't hit them hard enough...yet. But it is starting to bite now. There are none so zealous as a new convert, and none so bitter as a betrayed one.

This particular leopard is kinda cute, and she's also an advocate of critical thinking - unlike the two idiots she is talking about.
I had never heard about Jeremy Dale Hambly (TheQuartering) or Luke Bukowski (@LukeWeAreChange), but, man, they're dumb! Is this the best that the 'manosphere' can come up with? Is this what's supposed to be "Alpha energy" nowadays?
It's pathetic!
And women are supposed to be "more susceptible to groupthink and propaganda" than these two pseudo MAGAlphas! 🤣
And institutions of higher learning "are really just propaganda woke factories" because "those institutions have been hijacked by the woke mind virus and the intel agencies."
It's no wonder that they have come to see education as emasculation.

Not going to watch, but Luke Rudowski was a big 9/11 Truther back in the day, and later he turned up a lot on the Tim Pool podcast. In other words, he is an idiot.

As for the Quartering, I think he is almost the Planotic form of the basement-dwelling incel.

I've given up hope for them. It's be wonderful to be pleasantly surprised, but I don't see the cult waking up until after their orange Messiah is dead.

they’re all a part of a pretty big group of right wing political influencers that act as a gateway into right wing political support specifically targeting teen and young men.

it’s a little unclear to me how much of it is grass roots and how much of it is funded, ala steve bannon. there’s not a shortage of people happy to get involved for free. take a look at a guy like baked alaska. and there’s the cynical profiteers and the guys hiding out from sexual abuse allegations

Perhaps, but I think they'll find a way to blame others for the predicament they find themselves in because even if the actions that hurt them were taken by the Trump administration, it was as a result of illegal immigrants, woke Democrats, Trans people or another group they've been told to hate.

Sure. But their kids will still die faster.

To be fair... Biden pulled off higher voter turnout since William McKinley in 1900. The next closest is William Howard Taft in 1908. Other than 2020, Trump's voter turnout is also the highest since Taft, although Nixon was pretty close.

I don't think Trump won because voters failed to turn out. I mean, technically maybe... but more realistically looking over the past century, it looks more like Biden's turnout was anomalously high - what did Biden do that Harris failed to deliver?

Male whiteness?

Wrong question. Should be: "Why was the Dem turnout so low this time?"

The answers just might include GOP shenanigans with voter registration and ballot access in Trumpy red states...

I disagree. Voter turnout, and indeed votes for Harris, were within the general range seen for half a century. Biden's turnout was unusually high. Since Biden is the outlier, it's more reasonable to try to figure out what they did that brought more people to the booth.

"Within the range"? There are tens of millions more people in the USA now than 1970. So when the vote count does not change much, that constitutes a net loss of votes, i.e. a reduced turnout. When small fractions of the vote count make a big difference, that matters.

If true, the message I read from that is they didn't want any more of Trump. So they would have just as likely voted for Harris or Obama or any other Dem if they had been the candidate then.

I spent a few seconds in the cesspool, which is how i found the handle redacted in the screenshot above. I don't find any other tweets, replies, or anything that indicates that account ever existed. And as you say, the wording is suspect. That an exact illness was indicated could merely be the author being familiar with the same condition and salted the mine to make it sound real.

I know it's a bit quixotic, but while we live in the age of disinformation, Truth has to be priority #1, no matter where it falls.
True. People who post fake comments from others on the internet are disgusting, wouldn't you agree?

I think silent MAGA regret is an insidious but useful phenomenon which can be cultured to advantage.
I think the Dems need to make it a priority to let these Trump voters know that they made a mistake and it's OK. They're not alone; lots of people made that same mistake. But they can mitigate that mistake by admitting it, moving on, and vote MAGA out of office in the 2022 election. Returning Congress to the Dems will help limit the damage Trump and Musk are doing.

Because the "Trump's Second Term" thread is getting so long, I thought that we should have a separate thread for Trump supporters who are or will soon regret their vote.

I'll start off with a disabled military veteran who just got fired from his job at FEMA.

This reminds me of one of the old "Honeymooners" episodes, (It went something like this) Ralf wants to win $50 for coming up with an idea to save his employer the Bus Company thousands of dollars!! ... Of course when the idea wins, and it's implemented?? Ralf looses his job! :)

From what I can tell, the people Harris needed to connect with didn't think was talking to them. If she had more time maybe she could have fixed that.

Then there was the Biden problem. He wasn't actually able to sell anything. People weren't listening as a result. He shouldn't have run for a second term.

Liked the guy a lot, but his time was done. He should have passed the torch before the election season started and retired gracefully.

Biden should have run in 2016. He'd have beaten Trump, and we wouldn't be in this mess.
That's why I think we're living in the timeline created by a time traveller. Someone went back in time and took out Beau Biden at just the right time to prevent Joe Biden from running in 2016, opening the way for Trump. Question is, when the interference is corrected, will we cease to exist?
