Explosion at the Boston Marathon.

This here is the best quality picture yet of White Hat Suspect. So good that you can clearly see the number 3. But it isn't on the FBI website.

this is the photo that was spotted on facebook, went viral on reddit and the fbi contacted the taker of said photo. it also shows the diresction the suspect is taking.

new information.

FBI agents were on the scene in Watertown. “This is still extremely dangerous,” an FBI agent said.

A man in handcuffs was being questioned by the FBI in the back of an ambulance.

At Arsenal Court and Arsenal Street in Watertown, an officer bellowed: “Ya gotta get outta here. There’s an active shooter here with an active explosive. Go!”

Police were demanding that cellphones be turned off.

Active shooter with active bomb?

Two suspects in the shooting incident apparently taken into custody. Heavy police and FBI presence.

A coincidence?

Being reported on TV in New Zealand at this time...

► The incident is happening in Watertown, about 10 min away from the marathon finish line.

► Police involved in the chase have been told to power down their cellphones for fear of setting off explosive devices.

► People have heard at least one explosion

► FBI & Boston Police and one other agency involved

► One suspect in custody, and one on the run.

► Bomb disposal robots (or whatever they are called) have been seen in the area.

It isn't the same data, it's a clearer picture.

You can think of the blurry picture as a sample and the clear picture as a larger sample.

The new data wasn't the result of a test. It's still a hypothesis; albeit a revised one.

I am glad you don't help design protocols for the MDC; if all a proper "test" required was getting a few other people to look at the photo you based your hypothesis on, the JREF would've awarded the million long ago.

It's peer review.

Experimental results get peer reviewed. Scientific studies get peer reviewed. "Talking with your friends" does not constitute peer review, and hypotheses don't get peer-reviewed.

Fox News says "POLICE IN WATERTOWN, MASS., REPORTEDLY IN GUN BATTLE WITH CARJACKERS; REPORTS OF EXPLOSIVE DEVICES DETONATED"

The fact that you have to use such vague and nebulous terms to describe the possible "help" you might-possibly-conceivably-I-don't-know be providing really should tell you something.
I'm only helping myself stay amused and engaged. My speculations are meant only for the people reading this forum.

Other than that... yawn.

"According to audio of MIT police dispatch radio chatter posted online, an officer described the suspected shooter as a black male wearing black clothing and weighing approximately 120 pounds."

Here.

MSNBC is showing footage of cops with someone on the ground at gunpoint.

MSNBC has video of the suspect lying face down on the street in the spread-eagle position. He has dark hair, but it's tough to tell if it's either one of the two bombing suspects.

Doesn't look like either of them to me.
