They will tell you much worse than that. Some people here are some of the most bitter, jaded goons you will ever meet. Like that repulsive old woman who founded the American Atheist Society. It wasn't that she was an atheist that made her repulsive, it was what was in her heart, which was nothing but poop and sewage. She was so rude and foul mouthed many people who tried to interview her couldn't complete the interview. You will see some of the same types here.
Just ignore them.
 
Ah, good old mayday. I don't mind that she hates some of us. I'll take that over stalking us, any day.
 
Scriptoc hey sorry. didn't mean to tell you to go away. And despite what Mayday might think, I am not a jaded goon, I just like evidence for things like other skeptics on the board. I would love to be able to hear actual words from relatives that had past on. But I'd like to hear more than just "I'm here" or "Get out" Which is what I heard in a promo to the movie White Noise. Now why would ones relative tell you to "Get Out"? Sounds rather Amityville Horrorish to me. My apologies Scriptoc, guess i was in a bit of a mood the other night lol.

Actually, I think I will try it. I have ideal conditions. I live alone in a quiet neighbourhood, largely free of extraneous outside racket. I also have a tape and an external mic.

If I do pick anything up, then I will post it here. Not that most posters will believe it of course.

So, it is OK in your book to call people "some of the most bitter, jaded goons you will ever meet." In fact, mayday often projects her own loathsome character onto people here. This is part of her illness. Projection is a well-known psychological phenomena. There is plenty of evidence in this forum for her insanity or trollness. Maybe you should do a search on "mayday" and read some of her ridiculous stories before unequivocally siding with her?

I had hoped you would say it was much better. I tried (with varying success) to click on the links on that page without reading what I was supposed to hear. Mostly, I heard nothing.
 
I'm going to go ghost hunting tonight at a local cemetery. I have a mini tape recorder I will use. Then I will find a program that will allow me to post the recordings I get. I have a digital also but I think it picks up too much static so I will just use my old fashioned type.

I don't know mayday, and will have to take your word about her condition. I do know that in referring to "bitter jaded goons", she seems to be quite close to the truth in how believers in the paranormal are treated by sceptics.

Even on the most hard bitten political forums, left v right, Muslim v Christian, Jew v Arab, capitalist v communist etc, you do not encounter such aggression, bitterness, sneering and contempt.

FFS, who do these people think they are ?
