Evolution oppresses the soul!

[unsourced] Perhaps a desire to imagine that one could see "the fruits of their labor" would encourage them to build something that would outlast them? Thus making survival after death mandatory. Something along those lines, maybe.[/unsourced]

The good is oft interred with their bones."

I think just being remembered as a good guy is all that one should hope to have as a legacy.
Universally despised, as so many of the famous folk in history are, is another potential.
But the dead guy.. he dead.

True. If you have a product to "sell" that requires no labor, no resources, and not much in the way of facilities you have a ton on overhead.
.
And the product is delivered -after- death. No way to check on that.

Well since in the preview they consistently confuse the issues of abiogenesis and evolution, I would guess that they score poorly.

Also-- they have the evolutionist professor imply that chickens evolved from eggs. Seriously?

Keep in mind that when fundies use the word "oppress" they're typically referring to anything that threatens the total domination of their worldview or ideology. So the father obviously feels threatened by reality creeping into his daughter's brainwashing when he sends her out into the world to get a real education.

I think it would be much more entertaining if this was an adaptation of Rocky, instead...

...Imagine a fundamentalist Christian prize fighter beating the crap out of a straw-stuffed scarecrow, for two hours. It would be absolutely hilarious! And it would deliver the same quality of message!
