There is an annoying right-wing Youtuber called The RepublicMenu who's been PMing me on Youtube and he just sent this:

Well I consider myself a moderate republican, and the quote you posted from that ignorant individual does not represent my views. I think you should create a third party and put the crazies from both dems and repubs in there, so we can get some honest debate for once.
 
That sounds like borderline Fred Phelps rhetoric. People with that kind of knee jerk violent reaction are thankfully in the extreme minority. (But I also count myself as a social liberal so I might just be optimistic in that regard.) Unfortunately, the moderate right wingers give cover to these extremists because while they may not carry around "God Hates Fags" posters, if they're backed into a corner on their beliefs, they will admit that they think homosexuality is a sin because da' Bible done told 'em so.

Actually, a lot of my friends I would consider moderate right "wingers" and we don't walk around thumpin people on the head with bibles. Honestly, I haven't even been to church in years. (Not to say I dont believe in god) I think you break down right wingers by religious sect and you will see a vast difference in views about issues such as "fags". I do not hold the views of the Catholic church on that regard. I hate the right wingers who walk around and preach their "god will smight you" views. You know what, it comes down people being allowed to do what they want too. I am for same sex couples to have the same benefits I have married to a women. I just don't understand how that issue even affects me. (Just I would like it not to be called a marriage. Call it a civil union) I mean, we have more problems in this country than two women getting the same tax benefits that I do. As far as abortion; I am against partial birth abortion. But I would never lock a women in jail over it like some crazy right wingers want to do. I am not sure I even want a law against it. Simply I wouldn't want my daughter to get one. I would support her kid if it ever happened.

Even if he's sincere: From my casual reading of YouTube comments, I'd say that fascist nutbars can be found all over the world. I think -- I hope, at least -- that they make noise all out of proportion to their numbers. Don't start loading magazines yet; we far outnumber them.
 
I try my best to ignore those comments on Youtube. There shouldn't even be comments. What happens is it turns into a debate and you end up with hundreds of pages of people debating. The format is horrific for a debate and they treat it like a message board. Most of them aren't very intelligent either.
 
I'd say these kinda people are attracted to the right wing but the right wing isn't necessarily attracted to those kinds of positions.

That dude is a psycho. He started pm-ing me out of the blue, no idea why or where from, and I told him to f off, and he responded that when he became President he would "put his hands on me."

He's truly unhinged. Look at his war pr0n videos. They are absolutely sick. And yes, contrary to what some people might try to tell you this is exactly the kind of people who are dominant in the far right wing today. They are authoritarian, absolutely opposed to any concept of free thought or association, and bent on fomenting a war between Islam and Christianity with catastrophic and deadly results. I know I'm replying to an old post here but anyone on the right who still doubts this is not paying attention to your bloggers, your radio show hosts, and your unhinged psychotic buddies on FreeRepublic. These guys dream of a massive murderous slaughter of Americans to really get the ol' patriotic blood pumping.
