From my understanding, as a speaker she would get: (1) Airfare to Vegas; (2) Transport to and from the hotel; (3) Hotel room for TAM; and (4) Access to TAM Thurs through Sun, plus (5) getting to speak at TAM to boot.

I think that you would be hard pressed to name a single member of this forum that wouldn't think that this would be a great deal (except for some people who would hate the public speaking part). I think that JREF offered to help her out enough already.

Folks, at one time there were FIVE different Myspace pages claiming to be Trey Parker's.

ANYONE can put up a page claiming to be anyone they want. I'm sure Emily could be contacted to find out what her actual position on anything is.

It's a fake myspace account.

Someone faked it because the choice of speakers at TAM 7 is such a burning issue that attracts mischief makers. . . . for no good reason.

She's not one of the creators of South Park.

Nobody outside of this little forum or her myspace group page cares.

Give me a break.

The issue is not wheather anyone is capable, but wheather anyone would bother. This is not some new page started up yesterday, or since Emily canceled at TAM. If you look at the page, there is no indication to think it is a spoof, nor have you proposed any rational reason why anyone would be motivated to do so. Since you seemed convinced that this is a spoof, and that someone is defaming Emily creating this fake myspace page, coupled with your assertion that it would be quite easy to call her and ask, maybe you should do so and report back. I would be pleased punch to eat crow if Emily were to denounce this myspace page as a fake.

I am with TsarBomba on this. I posted a comment on her page and got a reply. I am fairly certain it is her and rather unimpressed with her overall. She seems to have the "child-star" mentality and sense of entitlement, however I see no evidence that she has done anything after that one thing to justify any special treatment.
