If she's a fake democrat and a fake Native American, how do you know she is not a fake patriot? Could sell the USA to the Russians or the Chinese with that fickle mindset.

Reasonable point. But I certainly heard enough comments along the lines of 'whatever happened it was a long time ago' and the statute of limitation on attempted rape was mentioned. If the difficulty of proving the allegation was the top priority then both sides would have wanted a full and unrestricted investigation.

Again reasonable, but we were talking about a promotion to a position that should be held by someone considered beyond reproach rather than being convicted and subjected to legal sanction.

In the same sense that former Democrat Trump is a fake Republican.

Wait, no. Warren actually accepts the general platform of the Democratic Party. Trump doesn't accept the (former) platform of the Republicans, which includes, for instance, that free trade is good. In that respect, Trump should be a "fake" Republican, were it the case that Republicans were a party of principles.

Fact. Elizabeth Warren has ZERO reasons to apologize ZERO...ZIP..ZILCH.

35 years ago she checked off her heritage which she believed was part Native American. And after she ran for office a political opponent noticed this and tried to make hay with it. Saying things like 'Warren is a fraud'. 'Warren is insensitive'. She appropriated someone else's culture. But the fact is she did none of this. So why the hell apologize. She recently proved her native American heritage and that is all.

Maybe she should say something like 'I'm sorry you're all offended. But get a life.'

You're claiming what, exactly? That she knew she had Indian ancestors and so she was scheming when she said so?

Of course she did.

If she believed her family lore (and she had no reason not to believe it) then she would have been confident that the DNA results would show what she claimed, a Native American ancestor a few generations back.

From going to, 'My Mom was a Native American and had to elope because of the racist parents-in-law', 'Grandpa had high cheekbones' and ticking Harvard boxes as an ethnic minority needing the benefit of positive discrimination, she changed her story to some vague sixth to tenth generation individual of whom no-one knows the name or tribe, or indeed whether or not he or she is actually Hispanic.


Surprise, surprise! Lo and behold! That's what the DNA test came back with.

The REAL fact: Warren claimed there was a family story about a Native American on her mother's side.

Native Americans are asking her to apologize for

"falsely claiming that the results of a DNA test support her decades long claims about her alleged Cherokee background, and falsely appropriating NA identity."

But make it all about Warren getting "bullied."
