We have Kevin McCarthy claiming to be Native American,( not merely having the ancestry) joining a fake tribe and getting no-bid contracts designed to aid minorities and you think a cookbook would upset people?

Good luck getting such obvious trash behavior called what it is. Tribalism is at play and anything a conservative does is okay and anything a Democrat does is evil.

We're investigating cookbooks?

For what it's worth, the fact that her cousin was editing a Native American cookbook, and several family members contributed, strongly suggests that there was, indeed, some family lore that suggested Native American ancestry. It wasn't just Elizabeth.

However, it isn't worth much at all, because it's a recipe from a forty year old cookbook. We might as well be talking about something someone wrote in a high school yearbook from that time. It's kind of pathetic to think that something so inconsequential mattered.

Exactly.

No, but the fact that pointing out such features constitutes an obvious outlier to the pakistani population at large easily proves my point.

No, because you are trying to apply a general feature to a specific case, and then being certain of your outcome. How do you know Warren isn't an outlier? Aside from genetic testing, but specifically to using just your eyes.

Remember how incredibly pure Walter White's meth was known to be in Breaking Bad?! Well, if Gus Fring had had a chemist who could produce a meth with as little contamination as Elizabeth Warren is contaminated (so to speak) with Native American, he would have never had to even consider hiring Heisenberg to make the "Blue Sky"!! Now, if you folks can't understand this, then there may truly be no hope for you! ...lol

Well, you've convinced me. DNA with a small percentage of certain genetic markers is just like cooking meth. If 1% is pure in terms of meth, then surely it makes Warren "pure white".

If you were her in that position while teaching, would you have marked yourself as a minority law teacher? Why or why not?

Well, the genetic testing now exists, so that's sort of a problem isn't it?

But regardless, THE key aspect being missed here is that for minority citizens, the prejudice one faces is largely due to his/her outward appearance. If one does not outwardly appear to be a minority, one most likely won't have experienced the typical negative aspects of prejudice facing a minority in our society.

So to claim to be a minority, but to have grown up and lived with all the privileges of a majority/white person, makes a mockery of the idea of diversity.

Oh, and for it not to be true at all is kind of the icing on the cake. She's done IMO, which is a shame because I agree with her quite a bit philosophically.

...wow that's... an interesting comparison.

Math isn't your strong suit, is it?

If Warren sees her mother as Native Indian, then her calling herself an ethnic minority is in good faith and not a fraud IMV.

Of course it's a fraud. She's "identifying" as a Cherokee/Delaware hybrid, but the Cherokees say that's nonsense. They have their own procedure for establishing if a person is a Cherokee, and DNA isn't part of it. Don't know about the Delawares. Don't care. Fauxcahontas isn't an Indian, but I have great faith in the Democrats and fake news to continue to say she is in fact an Indian, based on one lie or another, because that is just the way they roll.

She might not be "an indian", but she apparently has native ancestry. So?

So it's like me putting in for an African-American scholarship. I certainly have some fraction of a percent of African DNA in me.

The tribe's interpretation carries no weight. Government doesn't have the power to determine truth.

So much spin from the right. They are spreading the lie that Warren is touting herself as "indian" when the reality is that she checked a box in a demographic poll. She's not advertising that she's a Native or that she knows the Native culture, or that she's part of the Native culture.

Exactly. For a time in her life she identified herself as a minority, specifically Cherokee. This status was promoted by the institutions that employed her to tout their diversity. She is not Cherokee; she has an ancestor generations back that may have been. She should have just left well enough alone.

Warren never claimed to be Cherokee.

Your pathological need to continually lie about this is worrisome.

Not at all. Warren had nothing to gain by checking that box in a demographic poll, NOTHING. Keep on spinning on.

You’re talking about two different things. Warren’s personal identification as Cherokee, based on her family lore, is not the same thing as the Cherokee Tribe officially including her in their tribe.

Both conditions can exist without contradiction.

If/when Warren claims to be an official member of the tribe, then you have an argument.

Pocahontas (the bad version), sometimes referred to as Elizabeth Warren, is getting slammed. She took a bogus DNA test and it showed that she may be 1/1024, far less than the average American. Now Cherokee Nation denies her, “DNA test is useless.” Even they don’t want her. Phony!

Now that her claims of being of Indian heritage have turned out to be a scam and a lie, Elizabeth Warren should apologize for perpetrating this fraud against the American Public. Harvard called her “a person of color” (amazing con), and would not have taken her otherwise!

Thank you to the Cherokee Nation for revealing that Elizabeth Warren, sometimes referred to as Pocahontas, is a complete and total Fraud!

Lovin' it!

Did someone misquote Warren on this recipe?

Or is it not from her?

River thinks Warren signs her recipes and then writes “Cherokee” next to her name.
