IF man came from an ape-like creature, then one does indeed have to wonder what then the ape-like creature may have come from.

Why do some men have hair all over their bodies? That one simple question is a start. Was the hair intended for sensory purposes only, or was it for being a fur coat?

Yes, and this is why people say "shoot all the lawyers" (which includes most judges.)

It's "technically accurate", but also completely misleading. By that same argument, that the sun will come up tomorrow is also "not a fact", and by only slightly less.

And if evolution is not a fact, then what in god's name is the clownish, disproven, woo-laden concept of religion?!?!? (Note to those who say it isn't disproven: philosophy has shoved God into the corner of having the bizarre property of not wanting to be proven and valuing belief without proof very highly. This is no different from Uri Geller claiming a skeptic's bad vibes queered his powers, and as soon as the skeptic stops looking and goes away, the powers reappear again.)

I hope to god the concept of freedom for freedom's sake never disappears. The base concept that you own your body and your life and your effort and your property, and do with them what thou wilt, as long as it doesn't injure another's life or property.
