Elbe Trackway

Hi All:

Not sure how the Elbe Trackway discussion turned into an IR chimp discussion, but oh well.

Wanted to resurrect this so y'all could congratulate Tontar on his involvement with the Elbe Trackway Hoax.

Sounds like everyone's friend Daniel Perez has busted it wide open as Daniel has got the 'solid facts' proving Tontar was involved.

Congrats Tontar and good luck.

That is all.

Be careful with Perez and facts. He may be right about this but he has previously said truly idiotic things. He publicly said that the thinks there are 100,000 Bigfoot living in North America. That is like hilariously stupid.

Perez might be too stupid to believe without other forms of confirmation. Really anybody should be careful around people who believe in Bigfoot (like Perez) because they cannot be relied upon for intelligence and honesty. In those respects, Bigfooters really are the bad apples in the bushel.

Congrats Tontar!

You fooled Rick Noll and the other experts!

(Despite Muldurs lies to the contrary. RayG established a timeline showing conclusivly that the experts were darn near to proclaiming this the real deal before they backed off.)

People make these estimates sometimes...based on their feelings. I've seen both Dr. Meldrum and Dr. Bindernagel give population estimates. It never really makes sense, but it doesn't make them stupid or anything.

I've been following the Elbe trackway thing from the start and it's become clear to me now that the hoax was perpetrated by Tontar. He seems like a nice person, but I guess the hoaxer in him may have taken over.

nothing about hoaxing makes someone not a nice person!!!

It's a prank!

It's not like he profited from this hoax like sayyyy, everybody else in footery

Uh, well, actually it does.

You got that right.
Here we have educated people thinking that a BigFoot is running around the world in different forms, it boggles the mind how someone like Meldrum still holds a position in a learning institution, don't say much about Idaho State University IMHO.

Tim :)

OK. I was wondering what would constitute stupidity in that case. What sort of figure would need to be given in order to be declared stupid?

Would it be 110,000 Bigfoots? Would an extra ten thousand make it stupid?

When you stop to think about it Bigfoot hoaxers aren't bad people. They are us. They are everywhere. The guy that says he never hoaxes is a hoaxer. The woman who says that hoaxers will rot in hell is a hoaxer.

Bigfoot hoaxers are quality people just like you and me. Robert Gimlin is a Bigfoot hoaxer and good buddy just like you and me.

People who lie about seeing Bigfoot are not excluded from Heaven. God will let you in if you only just lied about Bigfoot being real. God will not whack you for any Bigfoot existence stupidity that you did on Earth. He will not send you to Satan for making the mistake that he has a Bigfoot walking the planet.

Wouldn't it be awesome if Heaven existed and God would not let in people who were not thinking critically on Earth?

Hello welcome to the clouds of eternity. Do you believe that Bigfoot lives on Earth? You do? Oops you lose, hope you like eternity with Satan.

Your sin is mental sloth.

I'm curious about these "solid facts" you suggest Daniel Perez has. Care to elaborate on how he "busted it wide open"? Hopefully has has something more substantial, and more honest than his previous claim or suggestion about suspicious license plates being reported in Elbe.

hard-core footers with PhD's:

I'm sure I could find many young earth creationists with genuine PhD's; still wouldn't stop them from being wrong.

This is why arguments from authority fail so badly, and this is why actual hard evidence is what is needed.

Excellent, now would you like me to produce a list of pHD in biology and anthropology who do not believe in Bigfoot? because I'm thinking the list may go on for a few days, and number in the tens of thousands!

So if you are putting any stock in these guys based on their pedigree, why would you choose to ignore out of hand the vast majority of qualified people on the planet who are calling BS?

Pulling numbers out of . . . thin air is as good a technique as any when discussing this nonexistent ape. The more numbers the better if you want to make a few bucks on the lecture circuit hawking fuzzy photos and laughable footie footprints.

Here's the thing: None of these self-described experts can show you the monkey. Which would seem sort of key in attempting to establish said monkey. Now the DNA thing isn't going to pan out either so what's a footer to do? I'm betting a number of your fellow enthusiasts go hard-core paranormal because then you can pretty much make up all kinds of nonsense (not that they don't now) will little consequence. Add in a little MiB hijinks and you're good to go for another sixty-odd years of footie fun.

Of course you'll still have a few dozen sightings a year that will seem tantalizing until you look behind the Piggly-Wiggly where the footie was last seen to find an scrubby 2 acre lot replete with rusty shopping carts and homeless fellows that at first glance might look like footie, but smell worse.

Then there will be the knowers/habituators who will still claim footie followed them home (Kin we keep 'im Pearl?) from the wilderness (county forest preserve) or is hanging out in the five-acre mesquite thicket out back making the occasional grunt and knocking off one of the 100 or so cats living under the porch or in the moldering concrete block ranchette.

And you don't need a single monkey for any of this; good thing because, well, you know.

If there's one thing the recent Rick Dyer hoax discussion on the BFF has proven to me, it's that Bigfootery is full of skeptics just waiting to come out of the closet when the time is right! While it may take a world-renowned scientist like Dr. Sykes to prove Sasquatch exists, it will be eventually be proven nonetheless. That's when the party starts! Soon it will be clear that there's a footer in all of us. :)

My point with the list is that not all bigfooters are dumb :)

Sure not.

They are very smart. So smart they've been keeping bigfootery alive and manipulating the ignorant, the naïve, the dumb, the deluded, the gullible...

And they do it all while profiting.

Big problem. No monkey.
