Exactly. So Tontar had the benefit of the doubt, until he went and made it obvious it was him in the BFF PMP section.
 
He never directly denied being the one, but instead danced around the question with a sense of guilt that was so apparent that it became obvious he had some kind of involvement in the hoax. So there's no proof, but yeah I would say he was involved for sure :)
 
How does one dance around with a sense of guilt? I'm not getting what you are saying.

In part, out of respect for the researchers. The longer it drags on, the more you continue to prod for answers you are not going to get, the longer you drag everyone through the mud. And that includes the researchers. You should give it a break and find another topic to focus on.

well, their history of promoting hoaxes as reality (only to either later recant or to dismiss the skeptics hoax evidence as a falsehood)

examples: Meldrum's continuing promotion of a Wallace footprint as real, promotion of a Freeman print as real, Biscardi being involved with anything, Meldrum being fooled by the Snow walker film, The constant hand waving involving the PGF, the FACT that EVERY SINGLE piece of "evidence" is murky, shadowy, suspicious and probably fake....

name one piece of evidence not clouded by mystery? yet most are touted as "PROOF"

these methods were championed by the great huckster PT Barnum, and I suspect, somewhere, he is having a good old chuckle ,and a brandy, saluting their efforts.
 
I think it's hilarious honestly. Nothing makes me happier than to see a con pulled on a con man.

They deserve to be made to look foolish. It just confirms that they either :

A) don't know what they are doing

B) are obviously in it for personal gain and don't believe in Bigfoot

C) all of the above

That applies to the Elbe trackway too. It's not a real controversy however, because some of us can easily produce a timeline showing specific statements by the principals involved, wherein they are promoting the trackway as 'real' (ie. not hoaxed) from the very beginning. But it's not so easy for others to produce a timeline showing specific statements by the principals involved, wherein they voiced their suspicions that the tracks were 'hoaxed' (ie. not real) from the very beginning, .

But I have seen compelling aguements from both sides.

I'm sure there is some pondering going on somewhere but I think it has more to do with building some kind of clout that no one asked him for.
