Merged Due process in the US

I'm not even American & I can answer that one-:

So much this. A one-sided version of events could make anyone look guilty. I've had police draw guns on me for being in empty homes after dark. I'm a contractor, and am in empty vacation homes at all hours, with no proof in my pocket that I have permission to be there. A grand jury would likely indict me for one thing or another for half my waking hours and quite a few sleeping ones.

Pretty much... everyone... I associate with is a criminal. Work, play, everyone but my wife and kids.

I guess I should turn myself in...

On this basis you have to wonder what will happen to the hospitality industry when virtually every person who's tended bar professionally is deported to El Salvador. Anyone working a Mar-a-Lago should probably be rounded up first,

The indictment said he was transporting drugs. The Grand Jury agreed, and charged him with transporting drugs for illegal purposes.
Given that you now acknowledge that there was no ability for the accusation can be contested, would you like to retract your claim that he actually committed the crime?

Nope. But folks who hang out with gang members tend to be bad news.
I'm getting tired of the euphemisms. I know that in your HOA meetings the phrase "those people" has a coded meaning, but in a skeptic's forum, a higher level of specificity will be necessary.

When you say he's "bad news," what exactly do you mean? If I accused your closest family members of being "bad news," would that be accurate? What would my statement false?

LOL, we dont have an HOA.

I have no family members indicted for multiple felonies. Nor do they have long arrest records. Nor are they illegal aliens.

This discussion is disturbing. I am starting to question some of my long-held assumptions -- yes, assumptions about myself.

Let me ask openly the inner question that perturbs me so much:
Am I, could I be,

Bad News?

That depends. Do you have a long history of arrests and federal indictments?

Garcia is not an illegal immigrant. He has acquired a work permit. His deportation was illegal.
To my knowledge, he has no criminal record. Even the DHS's internet troll screed against him doesn't cite a single conviction.
So now we're left with the indictment, which you have now acknowledged cannot be contested before a grand jury.

Again, you are being presented with an opportunity to examine the source of your bias. Or just parrot the Trump administration instead. Up to you.
